It’s hard to see, but there is a door behind Dabbler’s little drafting table, if you need to know where Anvil came from. Anvil obviously can’t teleport or anything, but her Sergeant Sense was tingling. It’s been a low buzz ever since Sydney became one of her subordinates. Dabbler isn’t really one of her direct reports, but she definitely raises the chaos floor, and Maxima has fully authorized Anvil to whoop Dabbler if she’s getting truly out of control.
I’m personally not into the femdom thing… though I don’t know if it’s really femdom when it’s two women. I guess that’s lezdom. In any case, it’s safe to say that Dabbler has most reasonable fetishes. The word “reasonable” admittedly doing some heavy lifting there, as a succubi’s tastes would be considered quite extreme by most people. Dabbler did change her top since the last page (or really just glamored up a different design – presumably she’s just enough clothes most of the time so that if her glamor is somehow disrupted, Maxima won’t yell at her, and she changes the style whenever the whim strikes her) because I had the pencils of her in that top panel sitting around from some other picture I’d started but hadn’t found a use for. I just liked the scoop neck that shows off the inside semi-underboob if you get the angle just right.

And to get even more technical, a Blood-choke is also known as the “sleeper hold” when used by police and “rear naked choke” in MMA fighting. It’s internally banned by many law enforcement agencies as too dangerous (i.e., too big of a chance of lawsuits), but of course they all learn how to do it. Absolutely taught in the military where lethal force is more common. It blocks the carotid artery, slowing blood flow to the brain, while allowing the recipient to breath freely. The body as a whole still gets oxygen and the panic of not being able to breathe is eliminated. It’s somewhat safer than a breathe-choke because as soon as the hold is released the oxygenated blood instantly returns to the brain. In a breath-choke the entire blood stream becomes de-oxygenated and it takes much longer to recover.
Some people are into it (of course Dabbler would be), but it requires consent. I am not interested in trying it, but apparently a reduction in brain oxygen followed by a flood of oxygen at specific times can result in an intensely euphoric “O”. Some subs have a fetish around being choked, and some doms like to choke, and this method avoids crushing the windpipe / larynx which can cause major problems and a trip to the hospital.
Obligatory mention and this is extremely dangerous, and quite a few people die every year trying this.
Speaking as someone who’s had it (box choke) done to them out of curiosity, it really just hits the reboot button on your brain a little. First my brain was full of its usual amount of anxious and scattered thoughts, thinking about everything at once, and then my brain was full of TV static. But tbf. I would not call that “something going wrong”, at least from my point of view. At the very least, instead of seeing stars the characters should see those pixie type ladies like the one we saw fight Maxima recently.

But it’s possible Maxima might borrow it to hit Deus. A pretty good revenge without lasting effects.

Dabbler is smart enough to realize that anything too fan-servicey would make Sydney not use it, and I think she wants to see Sydney use it. Or at least hear tales of same.
Kenya did pay attention to Sydney’s genre savynes, and Fate tends to have very good ears and likes to take time for extensive lists (probably even scarier than ‘THE LIST’ Sydney keeps in her back pocket).
Honestly surprised this hasn’t happened before. Dabbler clearly has a type besides generally everyone.

Let’s make it broader and call it “appendages”, and I assume so. Like, if I look at the sort of stuff that Dabbler and other succubi have done during the historical run of this webcomic, I’d say there’s vanishingly little stuff that she has hard limits against. Like, at first I thought “she doesn’t want to violate consent”, but then I remembered that she has used a lust aura to push other team members beyond their usual mental barriers, and that she has literally mind controlled Jabberwocky by kissing her. I think that the only things that I don’t think she’ll be comfortable doing (or at least not as part of the canon events in the comic) is the really disgusting stuff, like doing things with kids or animals. Because there’s no chance in the world that Dave is going to toss away his entire webcomic by even remotely implying that one of the main characters in the story is THAT kind of sex pest…
I wouldn’t necessarily rule out animals as long as they display advanced sentience. Dabbler is an alien/demon and we’ve seen many forms of intelligent life already including a dimension of tentacles and we know Dabbler has had sex with a horse man. I actually don’t know what to call it now I’m sure there’s a line between sentient animal like species and bestiality though.
I think that in context “animal” implies “nonsapient”.

While Anvil might not be able to teleport, her powers probably allow her to full on sprint without much in the way of sound by absorbing the energy that would’ve normally caused the sound of footsteps. She has already somewhat demonstrated this ability when she airdropped quietly enough to sneak up on Sciona’s golem.
Commit to it Dave and tell us where Dabbler draws the line.

This is definitely a tangent question only loosely related to this comic but Harem’s been featured a bit lately and I’m just windering where white hair Daphne’s been this whole time? We’ve seen Blondie, Pinky, Punky, and now Goth but we haven’t seen White hair Daph in some time. Is that just like a coincidence? I figure maybe she’d be chilling with the Deus crew cause that seemed like her thing but she’s not over there or at least I didn’t notice her there and I haven’t seen her around ARC either.
I remember when She had lifted Dabbler by her hair when she showed up when Anvil was having Max try on close for her dinner with smug D, just the act of holding Dabs by her hair against the wall got her even more excited at the prospect of Max wearing sexy clothes because of the domination. Just speaking for myself. I can do enough CAD to laser cut stuff to three decimal places of accuracy but sometimes the drawing board with paper and pen drafting is just more satisfying.
Could be for the same reason she likes to wear a lab coat or a sexy teacher outfit when she’s explaining things. Anything to help her to attract her next “meal.” Sometimes I wonder why they don’t let her “feed” on bad guys to drain them and leave them weak and sleepy… and content lol. Hell I wouldn’t mind it, but I’m afraid my heart wouldn’t handle the strain ;)
Pleasantly surprised that no one here is blaming this situation on Dabbler. Yes, that would be weird and wrong, but a lot of folks here are frequently weird about Dabbler
I feel that Dabbler would not get the attraction for feet. I don’t get it either, but this isn’t just me projecting. Dabbler doesn’t have human feet, so she likely would be less disposed to being attracted to feet and more disposed to an attraction to hooves. This doesn’t prevent it entirely, and she may be attracted to the foreignness of them, but there’s another reason. In humans, one of the main reasons people are attracted to feet is due to the way our brain’s sensory cortex is mapped. The area for feet is directly next to the area for genitals, so a lot of people’s neuron activities bleed over and trigger the genitals. Aliens have completely different brains, so their mapping would likely be different.
So, if I close my eyes and say ‘Snu Snu’ three times, will Kenya appear behind me? Delighted to see her again.
