So what combo of
balls(that might get Math too excited) orbs is Sydney grabbing? Is it Bombing Run (PPO & Flight)?ooh are we naming orb combos now? PPO and Telepresence “Made You Look!”. Shield and Flight “Hit and Run!”.
Shield and Tentacle= Tetherball of DOOM!
Flying Orb + Telepresence = Flying Badgers!
Shield + PPO –> Tank?
Tentacle + Telepresence –> Where’s Wally?
Are we counting Telepresence =/= Clarisense, giving PPO + Clarisense –> Anti-sniper?
Shield + PPO would probably cause it to rebound INSIDE the shield

Hm. We know that Maxima is incapable of penetrating the shield orb, so the question is how fast can the flight orb move? Because if the shield is that powerful, ramming through concrete at high speeds could be a rather destructive use of the flight/shield combo. It’s interesting to think of all the various tricks she could pull off by mixing powers.
Actually, we don’t. We know that she is unable to penetrate the orb without causing damage to the hearing of those nearby.
Hopefully, we will put them in a sound (and sonic-boom damage) insulated practice room and we can find out if Max can break the bubble if she hits full strength.
I am thinking may do that test out on a nearby Air Force bombing range or some such, where they do not have to worry so much about what else might get damaged.
That does seem like a good place to do it.
Do we know for a fact that she can only use two orbs at a time or not. Yes I know her weakness is that the orbs have to be in her hands, but does she have to hold it, or does it just have to be touching her hand. If just touching which part of the hand and how much of the hand has to touch it. If a finger would work, than she just needs a belt, sash, or something that the orbs can be attached to, and she can easily lay her hands on the orbs. Kinda like ninja’s with there throwing star’s.
I’m pretty sure it was mentioned earlier in the comic that she can only use a maximum of 2 orbs at a time
And it seems it’s not just determined by being in the hands, but by the surface area of the spheres being touched (so no holding one between the index and thumb and between the middle fingers, thus doubling the powers)
So, one orb in each hand, one in her mouth, and one down her pants to be gripped tightly in her other lips. Four orbs working for her at once. The only problem is that you need a special extraction tool to get a pool ball out of your mouth, or so urban legends tell us.
It does seem to be hand controlled, but that does open up the possibility for weird extra arm/hand mutations as a side effect of phlabotinum of the day, and her having to decide between looking normal and wielding an extra orb….
Wait a minute, this is Syd… she’d pick the extra orb and never even hesitate.
If the trick is holding one in each hand, imagine what Spinnerette could do with those orbs, probably give pause to even old Supe’ XD

it all depends on how powerful and what the recharge rate is on the PPO. IF its fast and powerful I would compare it to an enlarged auto granade launcher or rocket pod on a helicopter gun ship. if its slow and power full it would be a bombing run. if it was fast and weak it would be a straffing run. if it was slow and weak I would tell her to leave it to the professionals.
considering Syd’s memory of testing it I don’t think “Weak” fits it, unless she can control the output
But…this is Sydney we are talking about. That memory could have been augmented by a very startled, and consequentily over-reacting, Sydney.

Not sure since I think Pixie Trix is more than just them, but we usually just refer to them on their boards by various names made up parts of their names. I prefer GiDa CaTS because it gets everyone. I may be wrong about Pixie Trix, though.

Ironicly I found Grrl Power from an ad at Pixie Trix.
There’s a webcomic that I’ve been trying to return to after a hard-drive crash wiped my link-lists. A year’s effort & still no luck! Details follow:
– The Author was either French or French-Canadian, but wrote in English.
– Medieval comedy, drawn mostly in B/W.
– NOT “Bruno the Bandit”, nor “Legend of Bill”, nor “Atland”.
– The “Hero” was a clueless musclebound warrior from the North, with a smart young lad as his indentured servant.
– This Hero never takes off his boots – not even to bathe! In all other aspects, he doesn’t seem to care if he’s seen naked.
– The plot takes place in a French castle, filled with intrigue, political in-fighting, & an insatiable queen (which is the main reason why the Hero is still there).
– Title not remembered, sorry.

Pirates had their own culture. Women could be leaders too. And their sexual morays were different too. Though the pirates of today are just as dangerous as the ones of previous times. Somalians took up pirating when their crops failed once too often leaving them destitute. There are now 17 countries hunting them right now.

Don’t forget, the true sight orb is useless at spotting real ninjas, only second rate spies who use magic/tech to make up for their lack of ranks in Hide/Move Silent can be spotted with true sight, just like D&D. :)

Though, maybe, the power of that unkown dusky red orb (if that is in fact the one she’s holding…is there a way to differentiate that one from the PPO?) is to augment Sydney’s already formidable ability to curse.
