Grrl Power #905 – Imaginary gopher
- Sydney really is talking to someone.
- She’s thought about what she’d do in a situation like this and is being weirdly convincing about it.
- She’s cracking under the stress, despite putting on a collected front, and really thinks she’s talking to someone.
- She’s debuting the first scene of a play she’s working on.
- All of the above.
The full Skilltree is thus:

- Rattle a Reprobate
- Stump a Scofflaw
- Tumult a Traitor
- Unsettle an Unscrupulous
- Vex a Villain
- Welter a Wicked
- Xenotransplant a Xenophobe (You come up with something better)
- Yarmulke a Yobbo (In my defense, this would confuse many people.)
- Zig-Zag a Zealot

But can Sydney..
Narfle the Garthax?
Sydney is not from…. France.
I genuinely can’t tell if Sydney is trying to pull something here. I’m leaning towards this being a trick, but I could absolutely see this going either way, if for no other reason than Sydney’s reactions. I can definitely see her trying to spring an ambush early by mistake, only to find out that the calvery is ten minutes away.
Probably the biggest reason I’m feeling skeptical is because this would be the weirdest way to find out about the last orb’s functions.
they really should be on their way.
her necklace/communicator was forcibly removed without her radioing it in.
it would be a simple thing to add a “dont ever take this off without telling us” and a detection switch in it to see if it suddenly goes offline/gets unlocked removed.
Xylograph a Xysterer (engrave something on wood, for a person who uses a surgical instrument used for scraping bones – sounds villainous enough to me)!
Bad guys: “We need you to tell us the location of these rare comic books…”
Also: “Where is Jessica Hyde?”
It kinda just looks like Sydney’s having a goofy fight with her glasses AI and thinks it’s an actual person, while the AI doesn’t really know what to do with Sydney but is doing their best.
