Grrl Power #64 – Someone skipped the harassment video
This comic is probably a good example of how not to write for sequential art. Three conversations going on at the same time (even if two are with Harem, who is kind of an exception in a lot of ways) and I started with the art before I had the whole page planned out. I’m actually generally fairly pleased with the art, but the last line is sounds like it should be a punchline for something I had spent the whole page setting up. I’ll just let you imagine some of the things the others might have said to Dabbler that’s got her wanting to visit Japan. I’m not bagging on Japan BTW, but it’s probably fair to say they’re the world’s leading exporter of weird. I’d offer some links, but outside of their gameshows that violate Geneva convention, it’d all be NSFW.
Speaking of which, is this page NSFW? I don’t know how to judge that stuff. You could get away with a lot of cleavage in a PG movie, so it didn’t seem like I should mark it as such. I’m not sure how I’d do that. Probably put (NSFW) in the title, but that would only help people who are checking the comic from Twitter or the RSS feed. There will definitely be more scandalous stuff in the comic later on, no actual nudity, but stuff like side boob and maybe a bare butt or two. That doesn’t count as nudity in my book as long as it’s comedy posterior and not sexy time posterior. The thing is with webcomics, there’s only one rating. NSFW, which ranges from cleavage to flat out porn. Maybe I’ll mark anything prurient with NSFW-13 or something.
Update: Added Leon’s stubble in and made Harem’s bod a little bigger in panel 4.
Dabbler loose in Japan. My mind, it boggles…
Also – How do I get a job here? I want to be harassed!
I get the feeling that she’d fit right in. No one would even give her appearance a second glance :P.
They would ask to take her picture and also ask who she was cosplaying.
you do know japan is the most antinerd country in the world the reason nerds there are absolute shutins is because of this
I hereby volunteer to escort Dabbler to Tokyo. Just…don’t expect us back any time soon. ;)
She’ll need at least 3 people to cover her 24/7. I call shotgun!! :)
And I’ve got the back seat, where Dabbler will be enjoying her tour.
Back seat? This be a walking tour!
And probably a lot of apologizing and unhappy humans (been there done that). While I don’t speak Japanese (or is that Nihonese?) I deal well with people and don’t panic easily.
Japanese in English or Nihongo in, err, Nihongo.
Thank you. Exactly what I wanted to know.
No kidding! LMAO
I think NSFW only applies to visuals.
OK here today.
First panel – “Smile, you golem.”
Heheh.
I’m impressed by your writing. Are you a professional or just very knwloedgaelbe?
Question: Was that sarcasm? Keep trying.
origanl logans run was only pg 13 its been rated r now for the dvd release and it had some visual scenes in it
i thought they re-rated it because of the implied collapse of religion as shown in the post modern society of the future, and for the government sanctioned killings, etc. not the nudity. heck the revealing scenes weren’t squat compared to the Moral
Minority’suh, i mean Majority’s… loss of face..[sigh]
okay, using that logic, The Golden Compass would’ve been rated NC-17 and been banned from most theaters, considering it painted organized religion as a force of evil in the world, and the storyline of the trilogy (his dark materials) actively advocated abolishment of the Catholic Church. Instead, it received huge press, and star-power support, despite being a mediocre movie…
no, i”m serious, that’s what i thought they re-rated it for. no big deal, i don’t really care either way.
um, OK?! if you say so… I’ve only seen the movie, i got the book trilogy, but it’s on my bookshelf in a long line of not-yet-read books, i didn’t see them wanting to get rid of the church in the movie, is is more so in the books? again I’m not religious so it doesn’t mater one way or the other to me…
Fair enough – considering the low level of influence the “moral majority” and similar christian-based groups have been able to actually apply in the last 20 or so years, I seriously doubt that’s the case.
There’s far too much information to point out here, so I’ll simply recommend reading the Snopes (https://www.snopes.com/politics/religion/compass.asp) or Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/His_dark_materials) treatments on the subject. Having read the series and watched the movie, I think the intent is pretty clear, but frankly, Pullman goes about it in such a blatant, ham-handed manner that I doubt the average adult, even in today’s society, would be “converted” from their existing belief system. But despite his claims, he’s not writing to adults–the books were aimed at the 10-14 year old demographic…
Logan’s Run came out in 1975 almost ten years before PG-13 started being used. Red Dawn, the first PG-13 rated movie was released in 1984.
I’m pretty sure The Temple of Doom was the first PG-13 movie. At least the rating was made because of Temple. I guess it’s possible that the rating was created for Temple but Red Dawn hit theaters first.
I think they came out like a week of each other. But I do remember the story about how Raiders was too violent for PG (at the time) but not enough to justify an R rating.
Actually I went to see Red Dawn when it came out for this specific reason (first PG-13). I know that sounds dumb but I was 14 or 15 at the time and for some reason thought it would be cool. Also I copied this from imdb The first motion picture released with an MPAA PG-13 rating. (The Flamingo Kid, the first film to *get* a PG-13 rating, sat on the shelves for 5 months before release.)
My information that one of the films that came out in 1984 that helped to create the “PG-13” rating was Joe Danté’s “Gremlins” as he tells it.
Dr. Garbo Monté (unsure of the spelling) is a Canadian physician of Polish extraction whose hypothesis is that ADHD an ADD is environmental in character not genetic. He was diagnosed with it when he was an adult. He is in charge of the only legal place for drug users to inject safely on the continent.
Hm, the art-style seems slightly different in this one…
I was trying some more varied angles on this one, and I needed to use some photo reference for Harem’s face in most of the panels. Being able to draw someone who looks 19 years old it a talent that slightly eludes me yet. I didn’t use a reference for her in panel 5, so it looks like she’s snapped back to my default age range a bit there.
is i just me or does anyone else think harems freckles are ….. off kinda they just don’t seem that realistic
not to complain awesome! comic
it just seems to catch my eye
I was actually thinking the same thing.
Freckles don’t usually distribute evenly across the face and body. They typically cluster over sun-exposed skin, which is why shoulders, noses, and cheekbones (and in her case, cleavage crests) seem to get a lot, while underboob and bikini-line hardly get any at all.
That said, props to Dave for giving her freckles (though I must admit to ambivalent feelings about it, considering she’s only 19)…
My mother and little brother are both redheads. They were born with freckles, I’ve seen the pictures. So it dosen’t matter what age you are, if you are predisposed for freckles you will have freckles.
I’m sorry–I didn’t mean to imply you can get rid of freckles (or even reduce their appearance) by hiding from the evil retina-burning fire-orb that curses the daytime sky. I was just saying there are typically more freckles where there’s direct exposure, and fewer where there’s less exposure…
That I can verify since I have enough to of had reddish hair (now mostly white), blue eyes and pale skin with some freckling. Not as much as full fledged red-heads but enough. I try to stay out of the sun as much as possible beyond the 10 minutes I need every day to get vitamin D. I’ve seen some people who have large freckles and out in the sun a lot look almost like giraffes! The islands of melanine are so dense and grouped close together. I’m fine being pale. The premature white hair made me look like a live action version of some of those anime an manga characters that are young with white hair.
Yeah, I thought that she might have caught measles :)
What’s wrong with freckles. Me likes.
is it just me or does sporty harem seem to have lost alot of weight in fourth panel when compared to here:https://www.grrlpowercomic.com/archives/340
by the way,,,, HAPPY HALLOWEEN
Oh God. This crew on Halloween night. Mind just broke again.
It seems to be doing that a lot lately… Before you’re completely gone, why don’t you help me imagine what costumes they would be wearing… just think, harem can be in five different costumes at once… ( I would say 4, since she needs to have one in “uniform” but chances are that’s also a skin tight suit, if anything by her own choice…)
Harem and costumes are easy. She goes as the rest of the team – all of them.
Nice.
Or she could go as all the Sailor Scouts…..and with the right outfit, even Kamen Rose.
I think her head is a little too big in that panel as well. I guess that’s the joy of producing art on a deadline.
So it’s supposed to be bigger then Anvil’s fist? :P
Dude. I’m not trying to be a jerk, but you can really stop worrying about NSFW. Anyone going to the comic at work is likely in trouble for going to the comic at work anyway. Cheesecake will make little enough difference, I think.
Hehe, by that each and every comic would be NSFW ;P
Not all works are anti comic reading, but all are assuredly against facebook and social sites. Generally because of the security risks.
The NSFW general applies to visuals but it can apply to anything that someone in the office finds offensive. (lukily I have my own office, heh)
mmm,,, been going back alot in the archive,,,, and wow,,, i like what you did with anvil,,, she look way better now then on her first apearance,,, wich was here:https://www.grrlpowercomic.com/archives/60
in fact,,, so does maxima
Thanks! It’s amazing what a year or two of drawing nonstop will do for your art. :)
Concur – Anvil has gone from looking rather mannish to feminine-yet-muscular and disturbingly hot; a difficult balance to be sure–kudos!
Agreed, I really like Anvil’s look.
personally NSFW only really comes into play on sexy nudity and porn otherwise, meh, go to town
I was wondering if there would be a Halloween thing, but even our first close-ups of the semi-demonic Dabbler don’t count, I think. Nice though, I like her fang of cuteness.
I don’t think shoulderboob, even if it’s called out, counts as NSFW. You’re good.
I actually had a stupid idea for Halloween. I might sketch it up tonight if I get the chance.
a NSFH sketch then?
Great page.
NSFW? Whether they are sexy or G-rated, reading webcomics while at work can be a perilous thing.
That’s pretty much how I feel about it. If you’re reading comics it’s pretty obvious you’re not doing work, unless the webcomic is indistinguishable from an Excel spreadsheet, but there’s still that extra line to cross. I probably won’t worry about it unless it’s really egregious.
Why isn’t Leon on the cast page?
Cause I’m forgetful. I’ll post him this week.
Harem seems to be a bit of a tease. Everyone here talking about Dabbler, Anvil or Maxima and not her have it wrong. Can I be Harem’s boyfriend?
You mean one of them? Surely Harem would have several boyfriends at the same time.
No hopefully not. :)
Even if you were ok with her dating someone else, it would still be pretty awkward if you were having dinner with her and knew she was making out with another guy at the same time.
There are any number of people in the world weird enough to like the idea that she/they would have no trouble finding partners once word about her got out. At the very least Maxim magazine or the like (possibly Playboy, but if she is active service that would likely get shot down) would be trying to get her to do a pictorial.
Hmmm… Might be a minor running gag in the making. You just know once the team goes public the internet is going to start spouting all kinds of fan sites (to put it nicely). Who gets the biggest and/or weirdest fan club might get that team member bragging rights of a sort. Biggest? Probably Harem. Weirdest? Dabbler, hands down.
Maxima would of course hate the very concept, and Leon would somehow know much more about them than he would ever admit as he values his skin.
For some reason I don’t Dabbler would really care how much Leon knows. I get the vibe the only reason she bothers with clothing is she either likes the look or to keep Max off her back.
Meaning no offense, sir, especially since I love your webcomic, but Harem’s proportions and musculature are off in panel 4. She’s a buff, sexy girl, but suddenly she’s too thin and her torso’s too small. Comparing it with panel 2 and update #59’s panel 4.
I’m sorry- I didn’t notice anon’s comment on the same topic. Please ignore my previous comment.
Yeah her proportions are a bit off. Anvil is about 9″ taller than her, and if they’re both sitting, there should only be a 4-5″ difference in their height. I could upscale her body a bit, that would fix the issue with her head/body ratio being off, but then I’d probably have to move Anvil’s arm too.
I wonder what age Harem got her powers? If she got them during the 13 – 15 teen stage it might of been hell for her. I know they are cool powers, but for a teenaged girl at that age everything is embarrasing.
and expensive, feminine products ain’t that cheap, and imagine her dad come that point of the month:
“Ok how many boxes of tampons, pantyliners ,pads and Summer’s Eve ™ do I have to buy this month?”
Is it me or has Leon suddenly gotten a Shave and a Haircut?
Not just you. Guess all the pretty around him distracted the others. One of the things Max gets annoyed at.
Yeah I’ve forgotten to add his 5 o’clock shadow in since his first appearance. :P Also that was the first time I ever drew him so he’ll probably be just a bit amorphous until I lock him down visually.
Orrr, maybe that’s his power. He’s the clean up crew, he isn’t really a powerful person but he does have an ability. It’s like being a crappy actor but still being a member of the actors guild. It got him in the door for the job. and occasionally it works for the job.
American NSFW (Rightwing style): There could have been a nipple there…
NSFW for the rest of us: Oh MY GOD! Is it possible to do that?!
We are allowed to read web comics where I work. I take calls and as long as I am actually answering the phone when it rings they do not care much what I do. I have even watched movies on netflix while at work.
Any way there is nothing wrong with this.
Do all of harem’s bodies have freckles? Because I approve!
She’s naturally a strawberry blonde, so yeah, though varying amounts since she was only able to make a single duplicate when she was… let’s say 8, and then she’s been able to add to her stable as her powers developed over the years. I imagine Goth is the most recent dupe and has the fewest freckles.
but if she’s teleporting and not erasing the COPY… by definition they are identical, so they should have the same freckles in the same places… they are in fact the SAME PERSON… now as for Goth being the newest incarnation, that still doesn’t need to change anything, it just means that Harem can make one more COPY than she used to be able to.
and re-reading my post… i forgot to say that as a Goth Girl, she’s probably going to be wearing makeup to cover those freckles anyway, so if you don’t show as many, it’s no biggie.
you can have a freckled goth… its the best kind!
Well it’s definitely a weird case with Harem. When she’s first able to make a new duplicate, it is more or less identical to the strawberry blond one on the couch there, that’s her non-hair dyed, essentially natural one. I say more or less identical cause it’s as if a clone of her was made, and it’s the same age, but hasn’t had 12 years of environmental exposure (or whenever she was first able to make that dupe) So no scars or chipped teeth or an old healed fracture on her arm or freckles, so the newer the clone the fewer the freckles.
It finally just occurred to me–that means she’s still developing the skill, and conceivably, there’s no absolute upper limit on the number of copies she could learn to produce…
Now that could make for some interesting scenarios… imagine the havoc she could wreak on somebody’s life if she got truly incensed with somebody…
[scenario 1 – jilted lover]: Daphne is dumped hard by college frat-boy player… suddenly every girl he dates for the next 2 years bear an uncanny resemblance to her…
Scenario 2: Ghost Stalker- Everywhere he goes his ex-girlfriend keeps following him, but when he calls the police, she has a literally perfect alibi (She was at the bank and her face is on 6 different cameras at the time.)
[scenario 3 showdown] – finally confronting the poor sap… with a baseball bat… Agent Smith style
thanks for clarifying.
Being that they are all basically the same girl I would say yes because removing them is problematic.
I wonder if Anvil might have some interest in Leon? Brawn liking brains? We often envy traits we don’t have. Pretty sure she could land him if she used the right approach. Could have many funny parts if they tried to keep it secret.
Too early to be sure about Anvil’s feelings, but they read more like big sister than potential lover. “Mean” here implies Harem has no intention of going further than 2nd base. So Anvil is acting protective rather than possessive. And while Harem does not promise anything, her denial of mean does leave the door open, which is not the way to defuse the conflict if she thinks Anvil wants him.
I read it just as an annoyed friend not wanting her friend strung along than a big sister or lover.
Harem is a little too skinny. Seems sickly almost.
Also, I’m no expert (well sort of) but Harem’s shoulderboob in panel 5 seems like it’s gonna be awkward when she disengages.
Some how Dabler reminds me of me. LOL I hear a lot of neat things about Japan too. Like I remember seeing an article about a giant robot statue. That would be awesome to see.
If you’re refering to the lifesized mobile suit GUNDAM, it’s not permanent. They will be taking it down (if they haven’t done so already) when the anniversary ends.
I have news from the future: it’s still there. Sorta. They’ve moved it a few times, but it’s on display in Odaiba, currently. And it ‘s been 5 years since it was built, so it’s fairly permanent.
Dabbler’s ear/eyebrow thingy seems to have disappeared in the last panel. Same for the little lock of hair between her upper horns.
Her ear is uh… tucked?
Oh right, that’s a good explanation. I forgot that it’s tucked away on the cast page as well.
But why did her ear ring go from a stud to a hoop? ;)
I figured it rotated back (like a cat’s) when she got warm feelings thinking about japan…
Oh I didn’t even notice how ever looking at it now I see it does look missing. I also find it interesting that her eye brows are connected to her ears.
BTW I went ahead and posted the new topic on the forum as no one made one yet.
Hope that is ok.
https://community.910cmx.com/index.php?/topic/12355-comic-october-31-2011/
That’s fine. The forum is for anyone who prefers that medium over comments which do get a little hard to keep track of once there’s a hundred on a page.
Indeed you have a point. I pointed out how think Harem looks on the forum. ;)
Interesting, now why doesn’t dabblers collar have a D on it?
I particularly like the bottom right and left pictures. Arianna’s smile is also really funny XD.
The fact you *didn’t* spend the whole page setting up for Dabblers gag just means you have sense of history, of back story which is no bad thing.
I think her’s says XXX because she is also a porn star. j/k
It has 4 X’s actually, cause 3 isn’t enough for her. Actually she had that collar before she joined the team and Arianna thought it was marketable enough as is. It’s just coincidence there’s X’s on it and that happens to be a letter in English and is used to represent porn here.
Sydney should get one that has an S on it.
You’ll see on the top of the page that her code name is Halo, so she will probably end up with a H on her collar.
H is for Harem. Yes I know how dodgy that sounds :P
Maybe Sydneys will only have a single H, maybe she’s too low ranked to have one.
But its also for Heatwave, the name of the red head behind Harem and Dabbler…
Maby DaveB can just put a halo symbol next to the H to signify Halo or something. All these teammates with an H on their chokers gets confusing.
huh? she looks way too similar to Harem to me. especially in panel 4 of #59.
Shes wearing a collar thingie with an “h” on it as well. and if it’s NOT a flannel-wearing, southern-belle version of Harem, and she’s not mentioned anywhere by name, she sure doesn’t look like Peggy, and she’s not on the cast page at all, either. so WHO is she?
that would be Heat Wave, Mr Amorphouses “very lucky girlfriend” as mentioned by Maxima a few pages back.
As to team members with the same first letter in their code name the collar is simply styled different. As you can see see on the cast page both Halo and Harem have an H collar but they do look different.
Heatwave was introduced in comic as Brooke. Her handle “heatwave” was told in the comments when we first saw everybody on the couch.
Maybe it DOES have a “D” in her native language… = )
If you’re worried about NSFW’ery in the future, one thing I’ve seen comics do is have a warning, then a largeish space, so you have to scroll down to see the nekkid bits.
HEY!!! maybe that could be the team’s name!! Not Safe From Work (NSFW) (I think “from” is better suited, because they’ll be going up against dangerous stuff, right?) or maybe GRLs (Gallant Recon Leads) it doesn’t fit, but it seems cool :D.
gotta say, anvil is my favorite =P redheads ftw
If you’re unsure about whether or not to tag a page as NSFW, you could try tagging it as PG instead. From the descriptions you’ve hinted at so far, it doesn’t sound like anything that would stop it getting a PG rating: I’d say NSFW implies rather more anatomical detail or deliberate presentation. Certainly in Britain, PG would allow a film the occasional evident nudity, such as bare buttocks or side-breast. (Having said which, I’ve seen some films get away with a surprising amount as incidental background (bare background breasts in the PG-rated Merchant of Venice, for example).) From the point of view of child exposure at least, Sydney’s ‘creative’ language is probably going to cause far more issue than Harem’s or Dabbler’s occasional “antagonising anyone she perceives as a prude”.
Incidentally, another nice little aside from Arianna. Maxima really isn’t cut out for the smiley-happy PR roles, is she?
Nipples would make it NSFW. otherwise, unless its, like, the entire boob, but with the nipple blocked out, you aren’t going to really hit nsfw territory otherwise. I followed the conversations no problem, but then, I LIKE novels and such that have multiple strings going at once like that.
I blame the anti-sexual, anti-human aspect of Christianity that permeates our culture. But righteous destruction is a-okay. Sick in so many ways. Explains much in our culture. Otaku in Japan are the shut ins locked to their computers in their rooms gaining all data that way. It was very interesting in “World War Z” with that story from a survivor of the Japanese infection. Harrowing in fact. Japan looks like the future so be warned.
Once I did experience “shoulderboob.” I didn’t know how to react so I said nothing. Seemed to work.
Huh. Dabbler has boat-lights. Never noticed that before.
boat-lights??
Eyes coloured differently from each other.
well with her heritage it’d not be that big a surprise. And it’s not like she can’e use her abilities to change them. :P
for that matter, she might be using her powers to make them that way too (notice how they switch from green-left, blue-right to blue-left, green-right sometimes)…
Do they? Whoops.
it’s not like we didn’t give you a reason for it Dave, think of it as a personality quirk.
Heck, it may be a physical quirk. Only DaveB can say for sure…
I would love to meet Dabbler if she were real, it’s sometimes extremely frustrating to try and have an intellectual conversation with anyone nowadays.
Give it enough time and you will find yourself editing your conversation and thoughts just to talk people without getting the WYF? look.
Should read WTF !! Argh the keys on my laptop are hard to read.
I just assumed that was meant to be Wow Your F—ed
Top pic of Maxima: message recieved.
Oh as to the definition of NSFW, its Chimneyspeak, and not just for the obvoius one either. I swear that author took a George RR Martin spin on things.
Remember, you are only in trouble if its unwanted sexual harassment.
… Or NOTICED sexual harassment.
When we had a sexual harassment meeting here at work it was mentioned that it is in the eye of the beholder. We were told you have to let the person know you feel they are harassing you if they do not listen they you go to a higher up person.
yeah, the Navy has the red-light/green-light system… green is for things that no normal person could take offense at, red is for things like rape, sexual assault: things that are ALWAYS sexual harassment, and the yellow light is for things that one person says IS and another person says ISN’T…
That last line about Japan is flippin’ hilarious.
And I love how Dabbler looks in that second panel. All her previous appearances… something subtle about her displeased me. But I like her in today’s comic.
Also, I think you have a typo in the text at the bottom of the page. You have three question marks, I would assume that you meant it to read:
Mean? Debatable. Will he ask her to stop? Not a chance.
Well it wouldn’t be a Grrl Power comic without a typo in it now would it? :P I’ll fix that this evening. Thanks for the heads up.
Yay, I was helpful!
I actually preferred her original amethyst color myself. The way she looks here is cute though.
Poor Leon. I’m sort of surprised though. From his appearance, I thought you were going to go the 2D > 3D otaku route with him. It would have let him interact with the rest of the cast without turning into a big ball of flustered. As it is, I fear for the day when he has to help Maxima in person with some technical issue.
Unrelated note, the freckles are interesting. I actually mistook them for sweat at first (in the zoomed in panel), missing them completely in the normal “zoomed out” shots.
I’m pretty sure he’d be fine with Maxima: She’d treat him as a fellow professional, and expect to be treated the same. Unless it was unavoidable, she wouldn’t be titillating him. Harem is specifically trying to provoke him.
Given they have a time limit and a semi-delicate operation they need to have done, with major consequences if it’s messed up or not done in time, I’m not sure I approve. Though I do understand the urge. ;)
I’d agree with you, but the staff page and events we’ve seen in the comic don’t seem to back it up. Maxima’s cast page lists that she’s already had several incidents during her military deployments, which lead to her redeployment. Leon’s bio mentions that he loves the Pron, and is not terribly good at dealing with real girls. I mean this page has him checking out Harem, something which she has invited, but also something which apparently sets Maxima off. Their interaction should be fun to watch, if nothing else. Perhaps they’ll rescue his brain from his broken meat shell and make a cyborg (I’m kidding, I’m kidding).
A) The multiple conversations work fine. Besides, there’s no really critical information in the conversations. What we’re getting is character information.. Harem can be a bit cruel; Leon gets flustered by pretty women; Kenya has compassion. Those ideas come through just fine.
B) There are no rules to webcomics except the ones you make for yourself. If people know what PG means, feel free to use it. Good luck getting any consensus of opinion on what ‘R’ actually means (“horrible, deplorable violence is okay as long as nobody says any naughty words!”), but you get the point. Make up your own rating system if you want. Anyone who reads enough of the comic to follow the story will learn what you mean.
C) If you’re really concerned about visual content, use a two-image system. Make a copy of the comic with any naughty bits pixellated to an appropriate level of decency, then have a prominent “I’m a big boy/girl and will take my chances” link to the regular image.
D) Don’t worry too much. I have friends who do sequential-art porn (girl-friendly and pretty mild by genre standards), and you aren’t even in the same neighborhood. When your pages fall to 12% dialog, 88% anatormy, we’ll talk. I doubt that will happen any time soon though.. you have way too much character, plot, and story going to screw up the tempo with OB/GYN 101.
I’ve drawn my fair share of hardcore stuff, some people who read the comic even know where to find it online, I’m not going to advertise it here though. In my estimation, anyone who can draw supplied themselves with their own adult entertainment at one time or another. Can’t get your hands on a Playboy? (cause there was no internet when I was a teenager) no sweat, draw your own!
I was just trying to gauge sensitivity by asking on this one.
The problem at that point was that if you could find the, er, anatomical references to make a decent go of drawing it, you didn’t really need to draw it, because you could just look at the references.
(Uh, not that I was an artistically talented teenager before easy access to Internet pr0n or anything… *whistles innocently*)
Consequently, as far as NSFW goes, my work firewall blocks this site and claims it is Pornography. Go figure. I read it on my phone or at home now hehe.
Quite impressive how USA citizens are concerned for ratings.
I think that in Italy we are much more unconcerned for that, even if we are much more catholic and right-wing governed than USA.
Oh, come on, we have a prime minister who organized private parties with prostitutes and got away with that with a happy face :) (not that I am happy with that … bleargh …)
Back OT: I think that from my POV there is nothing PG-13 in this particular webcomic. But, again, I am not USAmerican, so … ;)
