Grrl Power #120 – Faceball
The eagle eyed among you may have noticed that I didn’t quite have time to finish the page this week since I was either at the Austin Dragon’s Lair Webcomic Rampage over the weekend, or I was driving to or from it. It’s not a terribly long haul from Dallas, about 7 hours round trip, but I have colored the page in less time on occasion. In the meantime here are the pencils. I’ll try and get the inks done by Tuesday and the colors later in the week, so keep checking back.
As to Maxima’s shortness with Sydney, well, Max got to spend a blissful 30 minutes or so apart from her and within seconds of meeting back up with her is reminded how challenging she can be.
Also IGN is having a best webcomics poll. It’s a curiously short list, but they do have a write in option. The poll runs until Dec 17, I don’t know what the rules are for how often you can vote, or even if they allow more that one vote/IP address per day or week or over the lifetime of the poll? I have no idea, I’ll assume it’s one vote a day?
————————————
Update: So I’ve replaced the pencils with the inks. You’ll notice the orbs have disappeared, I add them in last from a reference file so I don’t have to redraw 7 orbs x 11 panels all the time. Since this week’s page is going up in stages, I thought in might be fun to provide the full res inks in case anyone wants to try their hands at coloring a page, or just a panel or whatever. You can download that here. And here are the web-sized pencils if you want a reference. I’m not sure when the colors will get done, I need to get started on the pencils for the next page or I’ll be behind the ball forever.
————————————
Update 2: Foreground colors! At least now the comic makes sense with the orbs laid back in.
Fourth panel, we should be able to see the strap from Sydney’s eyepatch.
And in the sixth panel, we should be able to see Math’s choker.
Looks like the lines for the eye patch are there, but are not filled. Probably coming on the colour version.
In panel six, yes, but I’m not seeing them anywhere in panel four
Yeah I’ll have to fix that when I start coloring.
I thought the guys didn’t wear chokers? So Math does now, partly?
some of the males do, just go back a few pages and you see Math wearing one, but if you look at the ‘beefcake line up’ not all of them have one
The guys (like Math) who actually have necks have the chokers, the walking slabs of beef with no necks can’t find chokers that will fit that don’t actually, you know, choke them
Speaking as one who is short-changed on the whole “neck” concept, you don’t have to be a “slab o’ meat” to be neckless. It runs in my family to be biologically opposite the giraffe. Makes finding a shirt that fits a bit of a b__ch.
Been there, done that, burned the T-shirt factory…
not fun having a neck longer then your skull either.
It bugs me that they sell shirts by neck size. The damn things come down to my knees! If I buy a shirt that actually fits, I can’t do up the top button. Just as well I hate ties…
Thanks for the pencils to look at also!
I went to IGN and wrote you in, then tried to write in another fav comic, and it simply told me I had already voted, so apparently it is a one time vote.
I did see several good comments about Grrl Power there, more good exposure never hurts!
I did the vote thing at IGN. I shall leave it til tomorrow and try again, in case it is a once a day vote.
Also wrote a nice mini-review in the comments. Followed the options to create an IGN sign in, which all went ok. Trouble is, even sorting the comments by “most recent” and refreshing the site, I cannot see my comment appearing :(
Trying to log in directly from the discussion page just bounces me out with a “password does not match”. Despite trying every combination of log in options (email account, “Yorp” as the displayed user name, the randomly generated login name) AND re-setting the password twice, it still wont let me in.
Which is kind of frustrating, as I only created the account to leave this message. Plus am using up critically short time which I should be spending winterising my house and preparing for catching a plane tomorrow.
If one of you who managed the log in ok, could post on my behalf, I would appreciate it. Although please check to see if my comments were just being delayed for verification, or if some other fan has beaten you to it. I would not want to create spam. Recreating the text from memory:
”
It is unusual to see a webcomic where the author is both a good artist and a good writer. But this author is more than that, he is superb!
In particular his comedic writing is world-class. Every page has a wealth of detail, and often has subtle extras in it, which you will only spot on re-reading. Again and again. He also chooses to mix his artistic styles to convey his intent. Be it for emotion, artistic merit, dramatic effect or comedy.
He will have you splitting your sides laughing!
The comic should come with a warning of a very common problem “Eat or drink whilst reading this at your own risk. Beware of monitor splatter!”
“
Meep, I forgot the first sentence, which is kind of important!
“I did a write-in vote for Grrl Power.”
Ditto, lol
Just one change with the final panel: Maxi should be lifting/pulling Sydney by the waistband of her jeans rather than her shirt (or maybe the band of her undies for the ‘atomic wedgie’ look)
Too low for a bra-grab. Grabbing Sydney by the top of her pants would be a stronger place to pull her off her feet like that. The next panel would start with Max saying “Here, you dropped this.” as she hands Sydney a piece of her shirt that ripped off the back As Max continues with the rest of the “talk” mentioned in this page, Sydney is distracted (surprised?) by trying to put the torn clothing back in place.
Did we forget about the zero range telekinesis explanation from the science page. If Max can lift an ambulance one handed without tearing it’s side then I doubt Syd’s shirt is in too much danger.
That would be more awkward to draw, though…
Lifting her by the pants, that is. — And I doubt that her shirt would rip that easily, especially if she grabbed both of the shirt layers she has on. It was mentioned that she’s only like 85 lbs., after all. It might just stretch out her shirt. I will say, though, that it probably untuck her shirt in the very least.
It would really depend on how she is lifted: like she is now but by the waistband is plausible, but having her still perpendicular (like with the ambulace) is not (the only question has to be: is there enough ‘room’ in the seat of the jeans for Maxi to grab the waistband)
Now there is some colour to the page, we can see Maxi just grabbed the WW shirt and the yellow under-shirt is still tucked in
Sydney is holding the levitation cube: She’s as light as a feather now.
were is Math’s collar if the fith panel?or is that line on his neck it?
I forgot it. I’ve added it in while coloring.
aaaaand… where has tubey been in the last two strips?
Probably in the restaurant still or in the doc’s office. Her visitor’s lanyard is with it as well. The less things I have to remember to draw the less things I’ll forget to draw. :P
i’m guessing it’s in the Doc’s office, or in Peggy’s pocket… even as an injured person they wouldn’t let her in without the visitors pass… at the minimum, Peggy showed it to the paramedics while they were doing the triage and transport into the secured side of the building.
Thought the Restaurant (Sydney’s new favourite eatery) was located in the same building, they just had to change elevators
It is, but the public areas are separated from the hero parts by security inspection.
“Since this week’s page is going up in stages, I thought in might be fun to provide the full res inks in case anyone wants to try their hands at coloring a page, or just a panel or whatever.”
Thank you, I do enjoy coloring books. I just never liked the ones for little kids. (too simple)
I always find it so interesting when readers feel the need to comment on missing things or try to correct the author of a webcomic. Just let him do his thing you’re not his editor. BTW it doesn’t make you seem smart for finding mistakes it just makes you look like a troll. He’s obviously not done with this page yet.
Haven’t been around here long, have you?
To be fair there’s enough on these pages that it’s easy for me to miss glasses or a choker here or there. I don’t mind people helping me out with the editing a little. :) If those are the only comments I get after spending 18 hours on a page it’s a little frustrating, but usually there’s a mix of “hah hah spit take ruined keyboard etc, also you forgot Maxima’s face in panel 3”
I’m guessing Max is going to tell Sidney to stop having decidably violent reactions to being startled.
As much as I find Mathias funny (him vs Anvil and other appearances) I can’t help but want to see him suffer more at the hyperactive hands of Sydney.
I’m betting there will still be plenty of opportunities for that, to come
was hopeing for a nut craker my self but he may like that do not know much about him yet
AAAHHH my eyes are eagles! My eagles are pecking out my EYES! …wait no, they’re fighting to the death. Eagle eyes are cool.
Okay, time to cut back on whatever it is you are taking. Just relax. You are calm. I am going to count from 5 to 1; when I get to 1 you will be perfectly calm and relaxed. 5, you can feel yourself becoming a little tired; ignore things around you and just hear my voice; 4, 3, You are very relaxed now, 2, 1. You are now completely relaxed. Just close your eyes and listen to my voice.
You are not seeing eagles fighting. It is just in your imagination. Nothing is trying to attack your eyes. You are fine. You are realizing that this is just in your imagination; it is not real.
Soon you will awaken and restore your full senses. You will only see what is really being seen. When you awaken, you will be totally calm, but alert. I will count from 5 to 1; when I get to one, you will be fully awake and alert. 5, 4, 3 You are … Ah, forgot it. You can stay under; its safer that way.
*Lands on David’s head* Do you mind?! His hysteric ravings are my breakfast!
At first I read the comic and was all “WTF?! Sydney just KOed him with one punch?” And I became so disappointed in the comic. Then the little extra on the bottom took that all away.
*thumbs up*
:)
What is to be disappointed about? The guy has a glass jaw, he has managed to hide that fact by learning to avoid physical contact (he just never encounted anything like the Globes before)
He may have been faking how hurt he was, but he didn’t fake the hit (he truly didn’t see that coming so couldn’t dodge it, or maybe by dodging the weak fist-of-sponge he moved into the flight path of the orb-of-owie)
She has no orb in hand. And it’s highly doubtful that the martial artist who can dodge so much and is so awesome at what he does that he qualifies at metahuman on skill alone, would be knocked out by Syndey from any sort of punch.
Unless she has powers of her own, not linked to the orbs, besides the ability to withstand the spiciest of foods.
Right. The orb isn’t in her hand, that was what threw Math off. The orb is following her hand, slighty outside. So his effortless dodge of the hand put his jaw right into the orb’s path. You could see it in the pencil version, right now there is a blank circle impacting Math’s jaw. DaveB mentions the lack of orbs in the Update above.
I don’t think Math will be caught by the orbs again, at least not by physical impact. Now that he knows they can be used as KE weapons he’ll take them into account. The other powers may still surprise him, but I doubt more than once each.
BTW, this strip is an excellent example of why Lecherousness is a Disadvantage (or Complication, if you’re playing Hero System 6E) ^_^’
Hence the reference to the ‘fist-of-sponge’ (Math either dodged out of reflex, or maybe just to humour her, but if he had let the ‘f-o-s’ connect he would have been in far less damage)
I think you (and one earlier commentator) are implying that Sydney was not controlling the orb’s attack. With the inference of that being that the orb hitting was a co-incidence (or perhaps Math setting it up, for sympathy, which even Dave is unsure about).
It is worth noting, however, that Sydney is able to mentally control the orbs movement, without having any in hand. She only needs to hold them to activate the other powers associated with individual orbs.
You did notice that Syd had her eyes closed when she trew the punch. Makes the conbtrolled TK attack much less likely.
In panel 5 you see Blue Ball already lineing up with her fist (with the rest breaking orbit to follow), and in panel 6 you definately see Red (and Green) begin their run behind Blue. Math is just lucky he went down (mock-dive or real) before the other 6 connected
“Come on and ride that train! Ride the paintrain!”
there is also the chance that had he not dodged the punch the orb instead of hitting his jaw would have impacted his head. So he got off lucky to miss a weak hit and take the stronger one to the jaw. Maybe, I know some folks who have strong jaws but can’t take a hit to the temple and vice versa.
I especially like Peggy giving him the friendly kick while he is down, that is what friends are for.
He’s obvioustly a fragile speedster type: high attack, high speed, high ego and low HP
By the way could Sidney use the orbs as a shield, a flail (swinging them around in the limit zone), homing thrown blunt objects(in close range obviously), or just a multi-orb barage (like Ultear from fairy tail) or are they fragile?
Are the orbs fragile?
I don’t think so. They have survived prolnged proximity to Sydney which (IMO) says a lot about how tough they are both mentally and physically..
I canNOT believe Syd’s power level is only a “6”, and yet she can clock Math using his own skill set (unarmed combat). In any real fight, the first good knockout wins. Even if she can only fool him once, it’s better than anyone else has ever done on him. Against the average MArtist villain, pulling that trick even once is game over and will be epic enough- but against a teammate MArtist like Math it’s got to be flat-out legendary.
She instantly has badass cred.
Clearly, Syd has an additional lvl 10 power not on her list: Chaos Locus.
The power levels listed are sort of averages of a number of factors. The primary thing holding Sydney’s score back is the fact that she has virtually no experience with her powers.
And she can be defeated by gloves.
They don’t even have to be evil gloves.
Surprisingly, Syd ISN’T TOUCHING an orb. She swung her arm and the (very, very hard) orb FOLLOWED HER HAND. It appears that she doesn’t have to actually touch an orb and activate it’s innate power to simply beat you silly with one.
Would they still do that with gloves on, and if not, why not??
Did poor Math lose a tooth or just gain a concussion? Only time will tell…
She needs to hold an orb in her hand to use it’s powers, but she can control the position and movement of each orb however she wants. They seem to be semi-intelligent, entering a halo pattern when not actively controlled, and take the best path to sydney’s desired location (usually her hand) when called.
In this case, the orbs interpreted Sydney’s subconcious command to send Math flying by sending the flying orb to Math :D (That or the orb wanted to fly into Sydney’s hand and got faceblocked by Math, which is also funny.)
If she can clock you with an orb WITH gloves on, the glove restriction is not the automatic off switch I feared it would be….
Harem gave him a pretty solid k’powie.
which leads to the thought, While Math seems to be a borderline Super via his skill in Martial Arts it seems his ego has hampered his Reflexes.. that or he actually has (in stat terms) really low reflexes.. if his reflexes are low it would explain the scars and Could actually lead to Math having not a Superpower in the normal Fighting genres but more of a superpower involving Sight. He did make a quip about being able to read Anvil’s movements, (yes it could of been from his experience or from Anvil’s lack of but still) also it could be both parts, He has a superpower involving sight and has used that to boost his MA skills to godly levels but by relying on said power, his reflexes could of taken a major hit.
Easily distracted, I’d say.
Or, to borrow a (partial) quote from one of my favourite books:
“Cohen the Barbarian, too busy to fight?”
“Didn’t want to upset the young lady.”
Just a comment about reflexes: technically, all humans have the same reflex speed – a fifth of a second or so. What high-level athletes and martial artists have is anticipation – they can predict your moves before they happen, and prepare their counter.
A good batter in baseball or cricket will start to move into position before the ball has even left the bowler’s/pitcher’s hand. A poor fielder (like me) can see the ball actually flying towards him and still not have time to move before it smacks into his leg. (This actually happened – I was in Deep Fine Leg at the time. *shame*)
I think Math is probably a lot stronger then he’s letting on. As far as we have seen he’s only fought playfully and has had his guard down pretty much the entire time. I think he’ll be a lot more impressive when in actual combat.
People with ADHD arent that bad… >.<
No they arn’t. BUT, there are people out there who are like her without having ADHD. People come in all sorts, and Sydney is a hyper active geekett who happens to also have ADHD.
She a light weight cute girl with ADHD, unlike myself she has likely not had too many social restraints placed on her in regards to her behavior.
I have a long list of things a cute girl can get away with that I couldn’t (and could even put me in jail). I have ADHD, but due my physical apperance I have had to make considerable effort to put controls on myself in society. Sydney likely does not have as many restraints pressed onto her so is free to be more out going.
I actually really like the way Sydney looks in the fourth panel (despite the missing eyepatch thing). She looks cool, lol. XP
ohhh i thought maby maxima gave him a tap on the cheek real quick to make it look good
i guess sydney really is the bomb with here power combo’s
I think Sydney is about to get the talk as well as the recruiting pitch.
Cohen “I’m going to find me a steak.”
The colors! :D
And the colors tell us it was the flight orb that “grounded” Math. Ironic, isn’t it?
Only if you’re Alanis Morissette.
It also looks like ALL the orbs were following Sydney’s punch. If Math had not been KO’d with the first hit he would have gotten more in the face.
love seeing Peggy getting some revenge in while she can on that bottom right panel :D
After this of course, they have no choice *but* to take her on because while ko-ing Math as probably a fluke, the fact she can do it at all….
And ooohh I realized X’s comment on https://www.grrlpowercomic.com/archives/675 meant. Since her powers can’t be detected, she can stroll in anywhere and nobody will know she has any powers until she pulls out the orbs and gets to blasting!
Or, more likely perhaps would be espionage…
the fact that her Clair-sense orb could penetrate not only X’s cloak but Dabbler’s illusions is what prompted X’s comment about taking her in, that’s not counting the other orb’s primary and ancillary powers
Hey there! Long time fan, first time posting. Want to say that I really enjoy your comic and I look forward to reading more!
Also, is it just me or does the eye patch give Sydney a decidedly villainous look?
Thanks! I imagine there was a selection of eyepatches and Sydney chose the most villainous looking one. Part of their secret prospective member evaluation.
heh, he really thinks he can woo the girls into thinking they could land a hit on him?
Since he’s actually “just” human with super reflexes he should’ve really be KO’ed.
But hey, webcomic universe can make people fall 50 feet and leave a shape of themselves in solid concrete when they fall and not let them die, so it was funny :D
Want to congratulate you on a 4th place on TopWebcomics.com, though….
So… congrats :D
Thanks! It’s unusual to see it climb throughout the week when I haven’t had time to update the vote incentive.
Shhh, don’t point out the knock out physics issue, it plagues EVERYTHING, action movies, spy movies, video games, comic books, dumb cops and other people in real life who only see it in movies ect…
it is very hard to knock someone out with out causing brain damage. Even most boxing knock outs last no more than a few minutes. Let alone the time it would take to carry them to a car, drive them to a new location, tie them up, and get all that other crap set-up.
James Bond and more than half the X-men should have serious brain damage at this point. Heck that scene in X-men 2. Wolverine’s reaction to sedative darts was the most realisitic (slowed reactions and drowsyness) if they had shot the same dosage into those kids meant for an adult they likely would have just been killing them. Sedatives can stop the lungs and heart if you don’t get the dosage too bodyweight and metabolism right (its why they don’t like using it on reptiles because of how bad they react to it).
But at this point the KO is an established trope in fiction as a plot device to move a character from point A too point B with out having a chance to escape and set up the scene they need to escape from.
Hey, wow, COLOR! Looks GREAT. Now it makes sense to me how she “K.O.’d” the martial artist. I totally LOVE this strip.
If I haven’t said it before, this is in the top three (of the two or three DOZEN comics I read) as a fave. This, Endtown, and Doc Rat are my all time favorites. (In no particular order, frankly I like them all too much to allow myself to miss a single one) Keep up the great work.
Nice to see how the colours have brought Maxima’s expressions to life. Sydney’s are so pronounced that the colours need do no more than flesh them out. Maxima’s were clear enough even in the pencil and ink stages, but the colour brings more humanity to them. Golden skin tones notwithstanding.
The only one that I have reservations about is panel 3. We have seen Maxima with similar open-mouthed expressions before and I recall at least one other that also seemed a bit off. Sadly I am unskilled at art, and so cannot put my finger on what looks odd. Which makes me hesitant about commenting. I just hope that a bit of novice feedback might be helpful.
Aside from that one expression though, I love all the rest. Every one carrying a wealth of subtlety. Including the switch in styles, which superbly conveys the stunned/passive surprise of Max and Peg, juxtaposed with the ominous shadow that is Sydney.
Step away from the Dark Side, Sydney!
the wide-eyes and open mouth are more of a surprised expression
to express pain or anger, the eyes should be squinted or even shut
After taking another look, I agree, Yorp. If Max’s eyes were a bit narrower and more pointed, it would give her an annoyed/exasperated look. As they are, it gives her a “really desperate” look, which doesn’t really fit the mood of the scene.
She’s not supposed to be angry looking. I was going for exasperated looking. I probably didn’t nail it quite right, but Sydney can cause a complex confluence of emotions.
Everyone’s talking about the colors, all I see are still what looks to me like pencil lines. The only things with colors are the text. “Wham” and “Chud” and so on.
What am I doing wrong?! *sob*
you probably have your browser set to use cached pages – the quick “band-aid” answer is to empty your temporary files and reload it.

I was looking at who’s who you have up there and did an estimate of Math’s lineage and realized that it was about 20,000 years old. Modern man as species has only been around for 40,000 years. Either his family invented martial arts or he’s descended from an ancient lost civilization. Or I could’ve found plot hole.
…or, it could be that Math makes that claim because he’s a smart-ass, and it isn’t true. ;)
My own guess is that Math is counting ACROSS his family tree (aunts, uncles and cousins for exmple) as well as direct ancestral lineage.
It’s possible Math is referring to a memetic, not a genetic, lineage, indicating that there are 997 masters between him and the founding master of his style. Which, depending on how long it takes to go from padawan to master, could mean a comparatively short time span.
I personally favor Sciuridae’s “Math is a smart-ass, and it isn’t true” theory ^_^
Sydney has an excellent collection of tiki-mask faces.
i love the slam in the face ball. to funny, but then he deserved worse id say.
Math: what the hell hit me?
Peggy: She hit you in the face with one of her magic balls.
Alt text for panel 10: “BWA HA HA.Pirate always beats Ninja!”
Hahaha, I think “My Power is Insurmountable!” is still the best though. Mad Props to Dave B.
If someday there’s a fighting game designed after this comic, Syd is going to be so fun to play (and animate). The actual orb powers would be reserved for specials and combos (except the flight orb and shield orb for obvious reasons), and she’d fight spaz-style, using normal fists and grapples for weak (but gatling) attacks, and commanding the orb trajectory for stronger attacks. I can pretty much visualize it now. She’d be primarily weak with low HP but hit many times with a very wide range and have perfect defense (no damage rather than only a little defense) when blocking successfully.
Are saying that Sydney would grab the shield orb to block? Yeah that would work. Let’s see what else would Sydney have? Ball Bonck. Rotary concussion hammer (multiple orb strikes as they swing around her head). Breath weapon special attack (swigs a bottle of “hot” sauce and breaths on her opponent: effective at close range).
I want to play Dabbler, but how to do perform 4-armed attacks? Is everything a combo for her? Left uppercut, left body blow combo (simultaneous); 2-armed grapple and flip, 2-armed chair grab, 4-armed opponent sit (low damage to opponent, but they are unable to attack or defend for a round). Two-handed sword (left side), one-handed magic, one-handed firearm attack.
Harem: Punch, teleport, punch from behind, kick, teleport, diving high kick, 5-way kick (the other 4 bodies teleport in), combine combo (increases size, strength, durability), kick, separation combo (back to 5 separate bodies), shirt steal (no damage but causes some female characters to cover up and lose a turn, not applicable to Dabbler, nor Maxima if she gets too mad).
Anvil: Pretty straight forward, but a successful block increases the damage from her next attack.
Maxima: Also straight forward, except Maxima can do flying attacks and automatically blocks most attacks.
Ariana: Mostly weak attacks, moderate hit points. Special attack: Red tape tie-up (ties up opponent in red tape, lose a round, vulnerable to attack).
Math: Combo city! But no supernatural/super-powered attacks.
Peggy: Bionic kick. Firearm attack (if you can block great, otherwise you can’t hide).
“How do you perform four armed combos”
?
Unless you are playing an annoyingly technical game like Tekken, pretty easily.
Mortal Kombat has had three different four-armed fighters (as far as I know, I stopped playing the series after 3)
Goro, Kintaro, Sheeva.
and other games have freakish stuff, the MArvel vs Capcom series has Shuma Gorath which is an Eldtritch tenticled horror, and Amaterasu from Okami who is a wolf.
So it can be done.
With the colors now in place it is more clear to see that when Sydney starts her swing the orbs are already making an arc along her arm. I wonder if she trained this move or if she is just so accustomed to the orbs it comes natural to use them like that?
Yeah, and he’s lucky he went down after the first Ball (is it the first ball to hit his face? O_o) connected, even Maxi would feel it if all 7 connected one after the other
Damn, I should learn to read the comments before I post: I just pointed that out to someone else.
Re-read the archives, and this is still Syd’s first day, isn’t it?
Yup :)
It’s still her lunch hour from the comic shop.
And it doesn’t feel drawn-out at all :D
Actually this is a very extended lunch for Sydney because of her involvement with the bank robbery. At least that was her excuse to Joel. It is a few hours after the bank robbery.
I wonder if the Hazmat team has finished clearing Sydney’s lunch from the bank yet.
Probably onto the 3rd (or 4th) team by now
Rofl totally cracked up out loud at work. Good thing I work Night Audit! Totally made my night/day. gonna be giggling about this for a while!
I find it very very interesting to see how a page develops! (This was even more the case with the Cintiel/Dabbler page because there were more intermediate stages to see but I failed to comment about it…)
DaveB, how about showing intermediate stages on your dA page, more often? I’d love to see them. (Also, it shows how much work goes into developing a page just art-wise…)
On this page, it was Panel 9 where I lost it – the 3 faces show just priceless expressions :D
Also, I think I spotted one in panel 9: The lines of the walls and the ceiling don’t meet at one point behind violet orb. Also the vertical line where the back wall and the right wall meet above Sydney’s shoulder and the one below her leg seem to not match.
(This web comic still makes my Mondays the best days of the week! :D)
The lines behind the orb do not meet because the right wall is not connected to the back wall: They came around the corner in panel 1, remember?
It could’ve been made a little more obvious though, but I got the jest.
As for the vertical line of said corner not meeting the line below Sydney’s leg: You’re right… it is off by a few pixels.
the orb KOing Math = awesome sauce
keep up the great work, i would like another chance to hear Sydney go off like she did on page 40 & 41
that was epic
Oh! Gaaaa sometings goina give,,,, I laughed so hard I became dizzy. So good! Keep it up This comic rocks!
He’s not goina live this down.
am i the only person to re-read this 3 times? I have a hard time thinking that.
ive re -read this whole strip 5 times and its still good. I am looking forward to where you take this strip Dave B.
