Grrl Power #1112 – Operation White Chicks
The covered faces is really a massive security flaw. It’s literally the #1 mention on the Evil Overlord’s List. I understand the want for faceless minions, though. An army of faceless goons is more scary than a bunch of dude’s faces, but you need to design your skull helmets with retractable faceplates, or better yet, ones that can swivel around and rest of the back of the helmet, so your guards are still at least a little bit disconcerting when they’re eating their egg salad sandwich in the commissary.
In the Ascenders, however, while the guards do have faceless helmets, knocking one out and stealing his uniform without accidentally rendering him to a pile of butter mints is trickier than it sounds. It’s the management that’s walking around in the face masks, wanting to protect their identities. It’d be like if every Sith had a full face helmet like Vader. Yeah, I know, there were only ever supposed to be two Sith at a time – I’m talking about Old Republic Sith when there were presumably Sithcons where a bunch of them gathered and the chances of the hotel and restaurant staff escaping without getting force choked was probably vanishingly small. Like, if someone in hospitality actually managed to make it through a Sithcon without getting force choked, it’d be the number 1 thing they’d list on their resume, under “Fearful obsequiousness.”

I’m guessing the masked rich people was an impossible compromise between security wanting security and the people paying for it just refusing to show their face
Whatever field you are in, this type of compromise is actually how the majority of security breaches happen.
Now I’m a little curious about who else in Jiggawatt’s family has Powers. I’d guess that her brother isn’t on the main team because his power is more suited to being in ARC-Dark.
Jiggawatt does not have a ‘brother’ per se, since DaveB said Jiggawatt had no siblings in #359.
https://www.grrlpowercomic.com/archives/comic/grrl-power-359-surpun/
DaveB: “Jiggawatt’s case is unusual where dad seems to be the “carrier,” or it’s just amazing coincidence that dad and each of the moms happen to pair up. As she has no other siblings there’s no way to tell.“
However, she does have a HALF BROTHER who does have powers (her dad is a carrier possibly). I guess she refers to him as her brother since calling him her half brother would sound weird.
I dunno. I have a half brother but I have never even met him. So I dont call him my brother like I would with my actual brother. :)
(Panels 4 and 5, same page -#359)
No, DaveB said she had no other siblings, meaning her half-brother is the only one
The unusuality comes from the fact the only connection between them is the father, so it’s difficult to tell
Read what jiggawatt herself said.
Yes, she has no other siblings to really test that theory
Was pointing out that DaveB didn’t say she didn’t have any siblings, He said she didn’t have any OTHERS so it’s difficult to tell if it was the father or just happy co-inky-dinky that the mothers both were
Half brothers and half sisters are still siblings.
And the only one in this conversation to imply that they weren’t is you.
Half brothers and half sisters are not full ‘brothers’ or ‘sisters’ in a hereditary sense (which is what the OP suggested), although I should have not responded with ‘siblings’ and should have instead responded with ‘brothers’ (I was using shorthand so I did not have to say brothers or sisters – my bad).
In addition, most of my posts are based on someone suggesting that Jiggawatt’s half brother might be a twin. (Lady Sasha’s post)
This would be impossible for a half brother, even if they’re considered siblings, since both parents were not the same for both children.
The point of contention here, mate, is that you said “Jiggawatt does not have a ‘brother’ per se, since DaveB said Jiggawatt had no siblings in #359.”
Jiggawatt has a brother. A half-brother is a brother. The initial statement itself is wrong. She does, indeed, have a “brother, per se.” A half-brother is a brother. And nobody up to this point in the thread has suggested that Jiggawatt’s brother was her twin. You’re replying to something that was not said here.
Regardless of whether you refer to your half-brother as your brother, lots of people do, and many times they have met. Anecdotes are irrelevant. The only anecdote that matters here is Jiggawatt’s anecdote.
No. A half brother is a half brother.
Also I already stated where the twin reference came from already, hence why I mentioned how a half brother can never be a twin brother.
Pander: Meriam-Webster and Britannica both say that the two people only need to share a single parent to qualify as a brother.
a half sibling being a twin as well isn’t actually impossible
incredibly rare due to how most women don’t sleep with different partners right after each other and the ones that do tend to be on birth control
its physically possible for sperm from two separate men to fertilize different eggs in 1 woman at the same time
the circumstances for it to happen are rare enough on there own that the chance for twins to be the result is ludically small
I am no doctor but the only way i could possibly see that happening is if one man had impregnated two separate women at roughly the same time who were themselves twins, and both twin mothers gave birth on the same day… maybe? Is that the scenario you are talking about?
To further explain what TheIrishViking posted:
First of all, while identical twins result from a ovum splitting after fertilization, fraternal twins come about due to two different ova being released and fertilized at roughly the same time. However, that “roughly the same time” can be a much larger range than most people would expect: https://www.webmd.com/baby/ss/slideshow-conception — the sperm’s journey can take as little as half an hour, but it can potentially take days.
Given this variation, it would be possible (though extremely unlikely) for a woman to release two ova and have sex with two partners within a short time, with one partner fertilizing each ovum.
…but that’s probably not what happened in the case of Jiggawatt and her half-brother; she’s implied they share a father, not a mother.
I know two families of kids where they all share the same mother and think of their siblings as brother/sister, even though every single one of the kids has a different dad. And yes it looks like they (9 so far) will ALL have father issues as they become adults. -VasectomyVultureTX aka notAdad
Yeah, my cousin was like that, her family life could have been a decent soap opera.
Including her own dad emptying the bank account and skipping out with a younger women while she and her brother were just toddlers. This was back in the 50’s, it was considered so outrageous that a Mafia hitman dropped by and offered to do him pro bono. Bet her dad hadn’t thought about the fact that our maternal grandpa had ‘connections’.
On account of this they were over for dinner so regularly while I was growing up that I often forgot she wasn’t really a sister.
It probably helps when they all live together or at least grow up knowing each other. :)
I will also say that this month’s vote incentive hits my personal Uncanny Valley buttons in a very BAD way.
Agreed.
Stop saying shit like that, and not explain why…!
https://tinyurl.com/yjctuaxp here you go!
.. What? What is that supposed to mean?
‘Uncanny valley’ is the phenomenon whereby a computer-generated figure or humanoid robot bearing a near-identical resemblance to a human being arouses a sense of unease or revulsion in the person viewing it.
Or just seeing Peter Cushing.
The man had an aura that just creeped the hell out of you (Honestly why his recreation in Rogue One worked, the actual guy caused it just as much as his CGI did).
“Uncanny valley” it’s your explanation.
And that explains, what, exactly? Not everyone is seeing what ever it is you are claiming to be seeing, and if you don’t explain, how is anyone else (especially DaveB) supposed to know?
I agree, it hits Uncanny Valley. For me, it is her chest. The distance from the shoulders to the start of the cleavage is extended. Depending on body type and how uplifting the shirt/bra is, the valley between the boobs should start approximately at the join of the armpit (a Google image search for “woman showing cleavage” provides sufficient support [hah, boobs, support] to this), with natural support looks starting lower than push-up support looks. The vote incentive has the cleavage start about half-way down the ribcage, which makes the entire torso seem extended beyond human practical body type.
The flat tone of the shirt, to me, also comes across as photoshop, meaning that it doesn’t look like it fits the lighting of the rest of the image.
See? This helps, may not agree with but it helps focus on the problem(s)
Personally felt the flatness of the top (certainly not Cora herself ;) ) was due to it being removable (as in, other images won’t have it, and it was added after), also have seen some tops like that in Real Life…
Just do a google search on “uncanny valley” I don’t need to know what is wrong just have the feeling that something is wrong. If you don’t feel it, good for you.
As it turns out, people have experiences that are difficult for them to explain. Reality does not neatly fit into language.
The Uncanny Valley is something that is disturbing to people because it’s hard for them to explain. They’re getting contradictory signals from an image that make it hard for them to interpret. For example, if you saw a cartoon, but thought it was a photo, it would look freakish. Cartoon characters are abstract representations of real things, but vary from those real things they represent significantly. But we know how to interpret them, know the language of cartoons. Cartoon cats generally look very different from real cats, and yet our minds can categorize them both as cats.
So a image that signals to the viewer that it is supposed to look photo-realistic, and yet the proportions don’t match our expectations for reality, often triggers discomfort for people. But those variances are often too subtle for the person to consciously identify — it just looks off, distorted, weird. If the variances were larger, they would trigger a non-realistic interpretation of the image, and the person’s mind could map it correctly and avoid discomfort.
They can at least point out where the disturbance is
Otherwise it’s like saying “That offends me” without further clarificationing
When people mention that something is too ‘uncanny valley’ it’s usually because they can’t specifically explain what makes it disturbing to them – just that there’s something about the computer generated model or robot that’s too close to reality but not QUITE reality that creates revulsion in a person’s perception.
That’s the entire point of saying ‘uncanny valley’ – it’s a generalized area that causes revulsion to certain people.
It’s a little different than saying something is offensive, since that makes more of a moral judgment.
Maybe, but they can at least narrow it down
Yes, to some people, and to others they are left being confused about what the problem is (including the creator)
The point of it being called a ‘valley’ is it’s not always a specific point. It’s a generalized feeling of uneasiness. :)
The idea that ‘something is just… wrong. It’s something that’s trying to look real but isn’t… quite…. real.
Myself, I like it. I’m just explaining the term to you.
Here’s what the Uncanny Valley is: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/UncannyValley
Warning: TVTropes links can lead to hours of time vanishing into the Uncanny Valley.
Have heard of it, but still don’t see what the problem is with Cora2&1/2D
I think that is the point, honestly.
She is not supposed to look like a ‘perfect’ human, is she?
I get Uncanny valley too.
I think is the eyes, they looks “flat” I can’t explain it.
I wonder how many times that sentence has been said in reality
Huh, Jiggawatt has a brother? Who’s also a super? (What are the odds? Guess lightning can strike twice, ha ha ha.)
He may be, a twin brother.
Since it’s established that having super powers is genetic, I’d say the odds were actually pretty darned good. At least, a lot better than random.
At the very least it’s not based on evolution. Sandy stated as much before the press interview.
https://www.grrlpowercomic.com/archives/comic/grrl-power-139-safety-pins-almost-as-good-as-unstable-molecules/
Although according to DaveB, Jiggawtt’s case is unusual. So there may be a hereditary component to it, since DaveB di d mentionthe father might be a carrier, but with only one example of this its not exactly a confirmation.
Arianna mentioned it could be from any number of factors aside from heriditary genetics.
That being said, Deus did imply that he basically ‘broke the code’ on creating unlocking superpowers which does give creedance to some sort of genetic manipulation that causes random superpowers in humans during Maxima, Dabbler, Sydney, and Anvil’s trip to Galytn. Just not necessarily hereditary passing of genes.
@Pander – do you have any interest in contributing to a wiki for this comic? I started one due to a comment a few strips back. I love wikis, they really help me scratch my “here-for-the-details” itch. https://grrlpowercomic.fandom.com/wiki/Grrlpowercomic_Wiki
Sure I can help on it. :)
Wasn’t already one?
I remember a GrrlPower wiki from years ago, but I’m unable to find it. It wasn’t very active, though, maybe it got removed?
It got removed. Since I have set up a few wikis in the course of my work and this is my favorite webcomic by far, I’m plenty happy to build a new wiki. I’ve got quite a bit of structure established already for the obvious areas to cover (cast, strips, various pieces of worldbuilding).
… did you miss the entire chapter of the comic before this one? They explained how powers are granted. The powers themselves are not genetic, but access to the system that grants powers is.
Do you understand what hereditary means? That’s the part I was responding about.
Also please read my last paragraph.
Sorry if that first sentence/question sounded rude. It wasnt meant that way, and you might genuinely not have realized the distinction I was making between genetic manipulation and hereditary passing of genetics.
While we know that genetics play a part in superpowers, due to what Deus had discovered, we do NOT know that it’s also passed on through hereditary means. It might be, but since they only have one example of that, it might be a coincidence with Jiggawatt, who DaveB referred to as an unusual case.
It was stated earlier that people with superpowered family members are more likely to have superpowers, with Jiggawatt as an example. Specifically, stated by DaveB
“It is generally known, at least among the people who know such things, that super powers are hereditary, in that if one or more parents have them, then there’s a much better chance that the children will have them, or even if neither parents have them, if one offspring has them then there’s a better chance that more than one will. Given the low incident rate of super powers in the first place, that’s a difficult statistic to verify, but it has happened a few times.”
He’s been mentioned before.
Dub deep for that one.
Brother mentioned here: https://www.grrlpowercomic.com/archives/comic/grrl-power-359-surpun/
She has a half brother who also has similar powers. Not a twin.
Same father, different mothers. Therefore a twin would not be possible.
It was mentioned on comic #359, panels 4 and 5.
In panel 3, “lense” should be “lens.”
Yep! Lense is a common misspelling. :) Mainly because the plural is lenses.
You also don’t say “all that amperage” – the correct term here is “current”.
well a lot of things are current. I know this is shocking. I failed to resist.
I’m going to resist extending your pun. The potential is vast, however.
No fair. Lock them up in the volt. Let them know resistance is futile.
well, Bharda has exceeded Pander’s rating. so we should not resist the power.
This faceless management thing is going to hurt. BLAM! Oops, he’s dead. Must have been a normie.
Jiggawatt half-brother (half-Ennead) having powers was mentioned in #359.
https://www.grrlpowercomic.com/archives/comic/grrl-power-359-surpun/
Jigga’s face just looks off in this comic, however, her blonde hair looks nice :)
That’s one of the major flaws with drawn images: artists’ limitations, plus, people have weird faces, specially when they are talking or moving
Looks like someone forgot to add the ‘Vorp’ sound effect…!
Also how would Cora look in one of those vintage 1980s workout clothes or tracksuit, maybe give her an 80s hairstyle?!?
TWO mask-face ladies stripped and tied off-camera? This comic is slipping…
Yeah, the Evil Overlord list is a really good one for anyone who even CONSIDERS such a path to at least browse.
#12 actually pertains a lot to MANY wanna be evil overlords in fiction ‘and’ in real life-
‘One of my advisors will be an average five-year-old child. Any flaws in my plan that he is able to spot will be corrected before implementation.’
But we all know that the wanna be evil overlords are FAR smarter than average 5 year olds children, right? RIGHT?
“5 year old children” Being a near Genius, may come from that. BTW, the genes go down, through the mother.
Drew Theodore P. Lipsky (aka Dr. Drakken)
Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz (Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated) (and I bet most of you read that by singing it in your head)
Vahriah casually magnetizing the hammer in panel two :)
I see she’s got a grip on Jiggawatt. Love the innocent look on her face while she plays.
She already knew she could do that with Jigs, it’s just the way she’s doing it casually while Jigs is talking with Daphne :)
But we didn’t know that. And this casual fidgeting with powers and lack of reaction to someone teleporting in at arm’s length is definitely my favorite panel of this page.
… Yes we do, it was mentioned before, fairly sure it was even demonstrated when they were rebuilding the overpass
You are correct.
Oh yep, totally forgot about that page.
Daphne’s face in the last panel: she’s been wanting to do that for a long time :D
Harem looks waaay too delighted about getting to do Jiggawatt’s makeup for ‘whiteface’ disguise. :)
Look at her smiles of glee.
well, reportedly some women like to do makeup, especially on other people. sadly, some of them are not good at it. these need to use makeup sessions to improve.
Yeah. I just think it’s funny because of the type of smile she has while applying the makeup.
Btw… I used to be a horrible little girl who would get great joy at putting makeup on my even younger cousin. He seemed fine with it because I’m pretty sure he had no idea what was going on. My aunt… not so much. Plus it was her makeup and I had no concept of things costing money when I was 7.
Think Tammy Fae and Bozo the Clown’s lovechild. That was usually the outcome.
They could also use Maxima’s skintone/hair color changing choker since its already programmed for ‘caucasian.’
that had to be tuned for Maxima’s glossy skin. so, very likely it would look even worse than the glitch panel provided.
I’m not sure how Maxima’s glossy skin would mean the choker can’t be used on other people who do not have glossy skin. Seems like it would just work the same way on Jiggawatt.
If they tuned it specifically to counter how reflective Maxima’s skin is, then it might make someone less shiny look very flat. That they restricted the adjustment controls out of the belief that the effect would break if they were modified suggests that it’s a fragile, hardcoded sort of effect, rather than one that can adapt to different circumstances. They didn’t add something that could optionally handle shininess — they changed the effect to counter her shininess.
I think the challenge there might be that, while it’s programmed for Caucasian, it does so by starting with Maxima as the base. Put it on Azarin (who doesn’t have shiny golden skin) and it’s likely to product a weird effect, maybe like panel 3 – https://www.grrlpowercomic.com/archives/comic/grrl-power-962-pop-gauntlet-thrown/
Ah White Chicks. I never saw the movie but I remember the advertising. Man that was weird.
I did and yeah it’s very odd. Like no one could tell they wore very heavy make up, or both were both burn victims.
Why are they concentrating on the detention center? The building-wide self-destruct would seem to be a higher priority.
Maybe to get the prisoners out before they implode the lair?
For a moment there I thought Harem was holding out a condom. Context corrected me pretty quick, but for that one moment…
So this lady mask is going to go through 3 lipstick color changes and height changes, plus adding at first freckles and now pasty… I hope they get away with it someone’s bound to know that gal from the beginning.
All in different locations with different witnesses though. This isn’t a long-term impersonation, they just need a few more minutes to slip into some key locations without raising the alarm.
You’d think they would take the masks off while in their super secret base(s). That implies they don’t even trust each other/have rules against backstabbing.
The dude you’re standing next to is part of an organization willing to kidnap, torture, and murder for another scrap of power. You know because you’re part of the same organization. Trust becomes a four-letter word.
Last time I saw something like this a guy was telling another guy it was time to wake up to some makeup as he covered a glowing rune on his shoulder
http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_1014.php
Being able to tinker with electronics to “freeze image” is already impressive. Even if it works on a specific camera model or smth. I can imagine about how it’s done (make integrated memory fail to read new info from the camera, thus never be reset by new images and keep sending same thing) but being able to identify what is to fry is a sign of good electronics knowledge.
Now, actually “looping the image” certainly not should be possible with just electricity power, unless camera actually stores video feed. If it only has to store what it sees right now, then it simply lacks memory to hold “video loop”. And cameras that immediately relay video feed further (onto security monitors and hard drives that store all the video feed) certainly won’t need (and thus almost certainly won’t have) memory for locally stored video feed. So, unless you somehow can generate new memory unit out of nothing…
I mean you are always going to have a RAM buffer on a camera it cant operate otherwise. Which means “freezing” an image is just not letting those 1’s and 0’s change, in terms of making a looping video…one it would need enough RAM it would need enough storage for the looped scene(unlikely) and two would require you to buffer/create the 1’s 0’s in your head for the new scene? like i just dont see it as a feasible power considering how other powers have worked in this universe. Something like the former is already stretching it, but arguably feasible.
Court of Owls scenario:
you have both high level members on the grounds and their wealthy benefactors wandering around. Both of whom want their identities hidden from each other to prevent blackmail potential, a double cross, deniability, or it just makes them feel special because that one rich guy is just wearing the disco mask version so we all know who that is while almost everyone else is at least trying to pull off the halfway point between Venetian Masquerade and Eyes Wide shut orgy.
As an aside, When are we going to find out what Vance’s power is? I notice in the graduation scene, aside from the one wide angle shot, neither he nor Ren were pictured, or even mentioned.
Speaking of the List, I just went over to ChatGPT and asked it a couple of questions like, “If I had the magical power to turn invisible, how could I make money with it?” It started with 4-5 reasonable answers, so I followed up with “Are there more ways I could make money with that power?” and it listed 5-6 more, some of them more creative than the first set.
This could put super villains out of a job. Or, out of a role and into a career.
I then started asking questions from the EVil Overlord’s list, including questions about branding, troop uniforms, and plausible deniability.
ChatGPT operates pretty well as the 5-year-old in point 12.
Took me a bit, but 15 minutes asking it for troop uniform design elements and any open design questions, and it rendered a pretty full description for me, including the simple questions of how the uniforms would be cared for/maintained and where the uniforms were going to be stored when not in use.
If you ever knock out my guard to wear his uniform, be sure to grab his dogtags as well. (Specifically, the RFID tag buried in his forearm.) Otherwise the uniform will tattle on you.
Lens doesn’t need an extra “e”, proofreading note.
I wrote an Utopian story back around the turn of the century that had a third house of legislature, the council of twelves, a group of 12 YO who all got top scores in 5th grade civics. The person who wrote a law and managed to get it through the first 2 houses had to convince a majority of 12 YO bright kids that it was a good idea by a 2/3 majority. Less than that wouldn’t pass.
Also, masked goons are easier to draw without having to remember all the distinct faces.
Cora’s vote incentive made me nostalgic to the 3d animated series ReBoot.
Hopefully not the rebooted ReBoot
I can just imagine the Sithcon where everybody but the head guy was dressed up like Vader. The head guy’s first response was, “Hey, guys, I thought we all agreed you weren’t going to *do* this.”
And then they all mob him, because “they” had agreed to not do this, and the people who showed up with face-covering masks were all the infiltrators. Also his comment let them know that, no, the other people in face-covering masks weren’t people they needed to worry about. Well, at least, except for the guy for whom this coup was a promotion, so they weren’t about to interfere.

It’s hardly shocking how charged Harem is for the current plan, given her interest in alternating appearances, but I understand why Jigg is less amped to conduct this part of the operation despite the potential to lower resistance against the blitz that ARC is about to discharge to disrupt the statics quo of this battery of ground dwelling dim watts.

Hrm….
Sal’s Discount Shinobis, Inc.
Thank you for being our lightning rod.
Don’t do it Pander, if the ninjas hurt her, she can charge them with battery.
Ok I am letting that one go.
1) I still need to vet Sal’s Discount Shinobis sine the Ninja Emporium’s entire supply of ninja.
2) That was a clever pun where you used the legal term ‘battery’ correctly so I have to give you due respect for that.
Daang. You’ve really reached pun enlightningment with that barrage of puns.
… but I can’t help but notice you’ve still ohmitted a few.
Must admit, I was wondering if these “Ascenders” might have been a “Whites only” party. I strongly suspect thats another part of their schtick.
There are most certainly some serious problems with covered faces as far as evil organisations go. But even so, you get enough people and anyone can kind of just walk around in non-descript clothing and people will presume they’re someone they haven’t met. The key is to have plenty of check capabilities, everyone scanning through each door (preferably by finger print), maybe some good old fashioned challenge phrases, the uniforms or masks clearly designating where that person can or can’t go so any stolen uniform restricts movement and risks discovery if they enter the wrong area.
The masks can give some advantages as well. Squid Game really showed this with the 3 levels of authority. The idea of keeping them anonymous from each other was intended to prevent co-operation between the plebs to undermine the top authority. While some were able to subvert it, the concept was still solid. It also prevented favoritism and general niche groups but most importatly, reduced all those plebian members to their basic functions. Circle for a general worker, triangle for a guard authorised to hold a gun and direct circles, square for the lowest management level to talk with non-members, direct all other jumpsuits and permission to monitor cameras.
The other advantage is that even in personal lives, the minions don’t know each other. So if you’re a covert, secret society, worried that any member might turn (or have their mind read by some super), it can be good practice to keep each member’s knowledge of other members and the society in general to a minimum. None of the members can give the identity of any other member in their personal life.
Why? Just because they haven’t found another female who is also black?
Your first assjump is that it is ‘Whites only’ and not ‘Males only’?
Uhh… They know that it’s not males only, because Harem just jumped a female mask in a women’s restroom. Harem hasn’t seen any black female masked people, so they can’t be certain that Jiggawatt could pass for a known member of the group, and that would carry an increased risk of discovery. Safer to try to blend in with what has been observed than to assume something exists that hasn’t.
Lol. He’s just a troll making his own assjumps about my comments. I don’t jump to anything, only stating that I “strongly suspect” and “have been wondering if they might be”.
Harem’s caution could be for the case the Ascenders are a “whites only” group or because even with masks there could be few enough women that the presence of a black one when there are only white would stand out more.
As you note, the presence of women in their order is already established. They could easily be a multiracial organisation without any prejudices, simply looking to unlock the secrets of “Supers”, weaponise Supers by recruiting or extorting them and gain advanced alien technology like the gun stolen in the alien tourist visit (Presuming those groups were working together and co-ordinated).
I love how everyone on the squad has a specific lipstick. Is it part of their uniform?
Maybe get them the Dark Helmet Helmet.
it retracts for coffee drinking.
I don’t know Dave, the workout Cora pic is a bit too Uncanny Valley for my tastes.
Again: in what way?
“WhiteFace it”?
Im offended by this blatant racism!
I shall start a mostly peacefull rio- i mean demonstartion and loot- i mean make away whit reparation.
ALL LIFE MATTERS (except people that dont agree whit me radical opinions).
Just to clarify incase people are geting the wrong idea here, above text is sarcasm.
But is it ‘real’ sarcasm or the ‘joking sarcasm’ most recently tried by a certain lunatic wanna-be Nazi in the US Congress?
Yes, she was just joking when she advocated sending goons to hurt people in their homes. Of COURSE she was! It is not like she is an ACTUAL member of the SA. Mainly since they were slaughtered in 1934 for not obeying orders to stand down from their rioting because they were having too much fun trying to topple the government. Never mind that the NEW government was the one that they had just helped put in power. The one run by by a man named Adolph. Oops.
Sarcasm is the new ‘I said that but didn’t really mean it even though I did’ button in the US according to many.
Bets on how long until Elon Musk tries eliminating sarcasm from Twitter posts?
Can’t really blame people hiding behind verbal shields, no matter how flimsy, with the general weaponisation of language for political^Wcultish purposes. It might be a sign the political correctness hypersensitivity is overreaching and thereby losing traction, “according to many”. Or maybe they were just shooting their mouth off, who knows.
I actually have no idea who you’re referring to, though, and the first hit on a search brought up a black congresswoman advocating “letting” Trump administration supporters “know they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere” by liberal application of mobbing, four years ago now.
Read an interesting bit about leftist vs. rightist violence in the US a bit back. Seems the leftists get away with murder (figuratively and occasionally literally) because their much, much better support structure and connections. That’s been the case since, oh, at least the seventies, when various terrorist groups ran around robbing banks to fund their bombings and murders. It’s all curiously forgotten now, with some perpetrators making very cosy careers in, oh, the judicial branch for one.
The worst the modern leftist likely has to contend with comes from the left, as anecdoted in “I was the mob until the mob came for me” (article search term) and the book it mentions. With eager mobs suddenly deciding you are “problematic” and then they’ll find dirt from anywhere and everywhere, possibly going back decades, as “proof”. The right, also the same left, the part in times past might’ve been termed “radical”. And we all know the best defence is a good offense.
So if people get offensive on purpose then say “it’s sarcasm!” I won’t be the first to wildly fantasise about memberships of long-dead (in every sense of the word) violent organisations in a country a continent away. Or maybe it’s just my inquiring mind that isn’t too fond of far-fetched guilt by association. Or any guilt by association.
It’s fascinating how we now live in two distinct realities, with their own facts and news and internet.
Some people have sarcasm, go right over their head.
ok, as someone who dabbles in sarcasm. the issue here is you can’t commit to the bit. you are trying to satirize the right with a satire of parts of the left. so people get confused reading it. also the warning should not be integral to the post as yours is, it needs to be a least a little jarring, like a shorter version of the list of side effects in drug adds or (better) like the ‘please drink responsibly’ PSA added to beer commercials for years and years.
note- this post contains literary criticism of an internet post. its intelligence is entirely in doubt. please read responsibly.
“you are trying to satirize the right with a satire of parts of the left.”
No no im trying to satirize the left whit elements of the left. See its right there.
Its bad to do blackface buts its ok to do the same thing IF you insult another etnic group aka white people.
“Mostly peacefull protests” are ok nomatter how violent and destructible buut only if you are on the left.
As for the reperation part its just stupid that people of today msut pay for crimes committed by assholes that has been dead for hundreds of years.
The “All life matters” is not right wing as much as it is factual truth.
“Except people that dont agree whit me radical opinions” is to point at the blatant hypocrisy of the left that if you are not left then you dont deserve any respect or human treatment.
The clarification at the end is to point out that, No i dont feel offended at the whiteface, no im not going on a protest and so on.
Sorry you got all that wrong. Will try to be more clear in the future.
Question, is there a way to see “previous voting incentives”?

“guilt by association” Would be an assumption, from what I know!
It seems to me that Sith thing was always misunderstood by the fanbase.
To say there were always two, a master and an apprentice never made me thing that a feared species and galactic empire was just a single pair of people, but rather a training & mentoring program that might have also kept potentially black hearted egotistical sith masters tolerating a partner because they were their apprentice, and only having one apprentice reduces the conflicts between them and the often unavoidable death of one of those ambitious would be villains.
Telling a Jedi or ally that there’s always two, a master and an apprentice isn’t explaining any organizations total populace, but a warning about how many there are, and something about their expected power levels. Kind of like saying that if you see a cockroach, there are a thousand more hiding in the walls.
Of course we know the fandom ran with the absurd interpretation, which I think eventually became canon, but it’s still a dumb idea that there are only two Sith. That would just mean a quick extermination of the Sith.
Anyway, that’s my take on that subject, since someone decided to bring it up on the page ;P
they don’t even follow that “there’s only 2” rule in the prequel movie’s. I can name 4 who would have to have been active Sith during Phantom Menace just to pull of all the behind the scenes stuff Palapatine had going.
I’m gonna wait and see how long it takes someone to figure out the attack at Deus’ place was a distraction for the raid.
That… was kinda flouted during the raid, and after
Heh, I didn’t notice until now that Varia is practicing Magneto-ing with the hammer in panel 2.
