Grrl Power #1053 – Enter the easifat ramlia
Possibly related to today’s page. BTW, the 4th panel says “Dead am I? So much the better.” Or at least that’s what Google translate told me. People can actually read it have said… “Eh… pretty close, actually.”
Please ignore all the art on that page.
Looks like Max is getting a rematch, not that we saw her first go around, but at least now we know what sort of power set this guy might be working with.
The May Vote Incentive is up! This month it’s Warsyl, from Tamer: Enhancer 2! I’d say “spoilers,” but the book has been available for 5 months now. Anyway, this pic doesn’t have a zillion outfit variations, partially because her armor took longer to draw than I thought it would, but mostly because she just has an armored form, and an unarmored form. The latter being available over at Patreon.
Double res version will be posted over at Patreon. Feel free to contribute as much as you like.
Two left after this one – Preacher Cleansing Guy and Graffiti Cat Mask Girl.
Then DaveB will need a new splash page. :)
given her design “graffiti cat mask girl” is giving me OP trickster god vibes…and not just because of the season finale of Owl House, this type of design goes way back on the OP character design look.
(including a Mayan god connected to the world tree and rulership whose name is apparently lost but had a look similar to a jester, was a shapeshifter, and had high level godly powers),
honestly the mask wearing jester just has this *okay this might be a very dangerous individual* vibe to it even without trying to explain it.
The amount of Trickster gods and deites in mythologies around the world is astounding. Loki, Coyote, Anansi, Huehuecoyotl, Ti Malice, Heyoka an so on. Would not be surprised if one of them turned up to have fun. Or just a tricster monster, like the japanese tricster fox or kitsune, or the shapeshifting racoon, the tanuki. The english Puck or Robin Goodfellow, Reynard the Fox etc.
That’s because they’re fun.
Of course, in the original mythos, Coyote is less a god than a mystical fool whose pranks fail as much or more than they succeed. He’s like Wile E Coyote, except there’s no roadrunner with ludicrous amounts of OP good luck to overcome, so his pranks sometimes work.
What about the dude saying new player on the scene or did he show up and I didn’t notice?
I’d say Gunnhildr and Zova (https://www.grrlpowercomic.com/archives/comic/grrl-power-482-panty-raid-0/) match the silhouettes
Yep!
https://www.grrlpowercomic.com/archives/comic/grrl-power-456-supernatural-police-brutality/ shows Gunn and Zova in partial shadow, which appears to be a near perfect match for the silhouette page.
Those are the two vampires who are allied with Sciona. Zova and Gunnhildr.
https://www.grrlpowercomic.com/archives/comic/grrl-power-532-monster-hunting/
(panel 3 shows both of them together)
I always thought they were Vekter and Opal.
Hello, this is my first comment, I love your work. Come for superheroes, stay for Sydney’s hilariousness and her very cool tech tree. Anyway, I have a design thing to point out to you. The previous page features Cthillia, who happens to look a lot like this sandstorm thing. Also, Cthillia is talking about that dagger being close to “full” or something which implies that it does something (I don’t remember if you’ve revealed what the dagger does or not). My point being, I thought that the Sandstorm thing was Cthillia.
Is it not Cthilia? I’m confused. Are we supposed to know who it is?
No, this is ‘the one that lived’ against Maxi (when she thought she had killed him), but many people have thought they were the same person ever since she showed up (or at least related)
And the dagger is body-restorerer (Sci-fright used it to regrow her body from the upper-jaw down, with extra boobage… and then SmugD violated it because he’s a sick pervert)
Oh you’re right, I remember that about the dagger now.
I’m pretty sure that guys having sex with hot chicks is, like, the exact opposite of “perverted”, and he didn’t, after all, rape her, so what’s with that “violated”?
Welcome to the forum Lily.
Thank you!
yeah he looks like a pain in the arse both to fight and to kill. here’s hoping if he loses he disappears off in a gust of wind to be a menace another day
How fortuitous that this occurs when Max and Co happen to be there, and they will of course be drawn into it as the countries civilian population is threatened.
Honestly expect the Muslim portion of the world to declare jihad on Deus and his country before this is over.
Especially the imams and other leaders who put personal power as more important than the human rights Deus supports.
(I swear Deus has read the Evil Overlord List, the Cellblocks, and the extensions on TV Tropes. And has annotated copies.)
I would expect Deus’s version is in a power point that would take five hours to review, with examples of application from real life.
I’m not sure, but I seem to recall a reference that he actually had in the author commentary?
When people talk about ‘sand demons’ makes me think of this song
i’m kinda curious about how she won that in a 1×1
I’m gonna say…explosively.
That’s the thing: she didn’t win, but she didn’t lose either
Wide beam setting while waving all ten fingers about.
Huh, a living Haboob.
As predicted, eh, Deus? And what are the odds that you’d have an indignant Maxima and team right on hand to fight these guys thanks to a carefully timed TV report? You sly Xanatos, you.
Completely accidental timing.
If Deux had planned it, it would have interrupted the pillow talk two hours after dinner.
So someone better versed in international Law correct me if this is wrong .
But the way I see it Maxima cant get involved , shes a Soldier first and America is not officially involved in this War .
Fighting now would mean she gets court martialed as going rogue .
If she is attacked, she can certainly defend herself.
She might have a standing order to kill “that guy in particular”.
And General Faulk can always retroactively accept her decision.
And that asumes the attackers even identify themself as belonging to any nation.
She is not the field leader of this team because of her Powers, but because she can make such a decision with little to no warning.
International law allows you to defend yourself and others.
Who feels that Max has her work cut out for herself when dealing with that living dust storm?!
Given the fact she’s previously admitted that this guy was one of two people who could go toe to toe with her on his own (Dabbler being the only other one, because she knows how to keep Maxima off balance), chances are yeah.
Even Vehemence wasn’t that tough without outside help, he needed to massively stockpile power from a superpowered brawl to get on her level.
Assuming Vehemence cannot absorb the violence of a tornado (because it’s a natural force rather than intent-based violence) Do you think that he could sit in the middle of Darude’s storm for days to build power? especially given that the storm could storm slower and keep building
Given the unanimous freakout the UN would have over a DEMON army unleashed, I’m surprised one of the members of the Nuclear Club hasn’t decided to test Aliari air defenses with a drone or suicide plane of canned sunshine. (letting a hothead nation “nudge, nudge, wink, wink” borrow one being in the pipeline would def not be out of the picture.)
some of these world leaders and generals though should have some supernatural and alien connections to know the truth; but yeah, likely plenty of others left out of those loops due to extremist views.
I’m betting for a Halo interrupt. Why? Because it’s safe to bet she’ll do something after dealing with those choppers if she’s even allowed to interfere.
Wow, it must really grind Max that an old enemy has interrupted her Piri-Piri (probably sic) dinner. It must wear her right out. Hopefully she can polish this dude off before supper.
[puns rated 40 – 440 grit]
Ok, at first I thought that rumble sound was Maxima’s stomach due to really wanting that dinner she was promised.
You know between the two lasers of Maxima and Halo and their heat, sandman is likely to quickly become glass man and not moving very fast.
and if he turns out to be a silicokinetic or silicomorph and not specifically sand (or geokinetic/geomorph with full mineral range), then you just sharpened his weapon for him.
Anybody else getting a The Mummy meets Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind vibe here?
I can see that, my age shows though as my first thought was old superhero show intros (many would have this giant monster *usually ludicrously huge* looming into the scene.)
Spider Woman (at about 47 seconds in)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F91AoQ1wuyc
although feel this guy will be taken out similar to the fire guy in the Spider man and his amazing friends intro

Thought the first two rumbles were coming from Max’s stomach, referencing the fact that they were not going to get to eat dinner. I am very situationally aware.
Oh, this guy.
I thought that was a reference to Sciona who had most of her head removed.
Why? Maxi never even heard of Sci-fright until after the kill-bots crashed the Council Party
Oh! What a rude sandstorm!
When a sandstorm with eyes just makes you pissed, you scary!
