Grrl Power #103 – I think Dabbler’s about to detect the People’s Elbow
A few people predicted something like this would happen, I’m sure there will be plenty of predictions as to what comes next, though at this point given what we know about the players involved, there are a diminishing set of possibilities. Hopefully I’ll have a few surprises for you though. The weakness of the once a week format. I was hoping this page would take a little less time to draw since there’s fewer panels but the larger I draw the more time I spend on it generally.
So now that Dabbler’s met Sydney for real (or is about to), I’ll point out that you can see more of her in the webcomic Wereworld (NSFW). I’ve mentioned it before in the comments but most people probably haven’t seen the link yet. It’s drawn by Rann, another old Fred Perry Fan Club alumni. (The FPFC is a defunct IRC chat room that a few dozen fans used to frequent over a decade ago). Wereworld is sort of on hiatus at the moment, and even when it’s not it updates slower than mine, but it’s been running since 2002 so its got a decent sized archive. Bookmark it for a lazy Saturday morning. Dabbler appears in it simply because Rann liked her design and asked to borrow her, and I was all for it.
BTW given some of the discussions about breast… buoyancy, I considered drawing Dabbler’s second set of arms doing a cup and lift action, but I thought that might distract from the main point of the page.
She’s still a 10.
(or an A, if her dials are in Hexidecimal)
This. QFT. Still insanely hot.
Who is the guy by the curtains?
Its a girl (maybe). But most observant. You will find out, in a little while.
We all want to know. Only DaveB knows.
who is that guy in the back
The next one tells you about mystery person.
Holy crap! Sydney dismissed Dabbler’s illusion! HOLY CRAP! There’s a spy in the room!!
Is that undercover Cobra Commander?!
Ooh, I noticed the spy, too! I only bring this up because I’m usually horrible at noticing these kinds of details, and end up going back several pages to confirm what I should have noticed the first time (for instance, that Dabbler has four arms and 16 fingers).
Dunno what it says about me, but I’d rate disguised!Dabbler a nine, and real!Dabbler more like a 15-20. I just prefer the way she actually looks.
Just noticed something: the General Faulk is looking to the side, not at Dabbles or Sydney, is he glaring at Maxi… again?
A general’s wrath is not slow to diminish. So that seems likely.
He will limit the dressing down he gives his officers, in front of their subordinates, but is probably thinking of a few more choice words that he will say to Maxima, once they are in a more private situation.
***SORTA SPOILER*** In the last panel, the “handler ” is there loud and clear, obvious and light…
I think the scantily clad, purple, four armed demon is a tad more obvious. ;-)
How long did it take me to notice Dabbler has two navels?
Let’s see, I first noticed it (them) in some saucy fanart this evening. And here they are, fairly well displayed in 2012, so… about 11 1/2 years? A half-dozen read-throughs, start to finish, at least?
I feel great shame… T_T
Really though, they’re not any deeper shadowed than the muscle-crease to the side of it. I could be forgiven for thinking it was just a deep abdominal crevase.
