Grrl Power #100 – A suitably low key entrance
Well, lots to say about this page. First off, page 100, yay! I alternately want to pat myself on the back for hitting 100 and shrug it off as the human need to recognize round numbers as milestones. If I was doing a proper comic this would barely be 4 issues worth of material, but I know a lot of projects, webcomics especially that died on the vine long before this, so… yay!
I’d like to have done a wallpaper or something to celebrate, but I’m a little crunched as I have to get an extra page done before Quakecon and Stripcon, both of which I’ll be attending, and both inconveniently on the same weekend. I have an idea for a wallpaper or two though. I think I’ll try and make those the vote incentives as long as I can crank them out.
I know the woefully out of date cast page says that Dabbler can’t shapeshift, and that’s still true, but she obviously has the ability to disguise herself. We’ll learn a fair amount about her on the next few pages. Also, 1 Moxana point to scantrontb. We’ll see if he’s right about any of that other stuff.
Dabbler’s introduction here is marred slightly by the fact that I wound up redrawing her at least 3 times for panel 7, trying to design her outfit and make her look especially hot, the end result is that her head’s kinda big I think. We can just pretend I drew her a bit foreshortened from the top. I rather like her boots though.
And just to be clear, Sydney’s not into girls at all, but gender preference doesn’t mean a lot to Dabbler, especially when she’s doing her succubus thing. I see a lot of succubus characters out there, but they usually seem to be succubi in name only. They rarely if ever deploy succubussy powers. That won’t be the case with Dabbler. As we see her entering on this page, she’s deploying a simple “I’m the sexiest thing you can imagine” spell.
Edit: Wow, looking at this page 9 months later… I really draw heads too big and necks too long. I really want to redraw panel 7 there. :P
Ahh a Monday afternoon here in Britain, and it’s time to check my web comics!

STILL NOT COLD ENOUGH!!!
*Sprays Gingernorton with LN slush*
That help ya?
N-n-n-n-n-n-n-nope!!!
Sorry, that’s the best we can do on this planet. We could send ya to Pluto…
It’s gotteN warmer since they opened that theme park there
If Dabbler does everything is hexadecimal, then a 10 really means 16.
but she Said “ten”, in hex ten is expressed as A and sixteen is expressed as 10
David is pointing out that a hex “10” is a decimal “16”. So if she was speaking in hex, when she said “10” that translates to “16” for us decimal users.
Arguably she could have said “F” too.
I was thinking more along the lines of “not going below a Double-D” :-D
Sooo…. no lower than 221 base ten?
F(base16) is 15(base10).
I thought the joke in the remark was that A is the lowest bra size, so she wouldn’t go below that.
all I was trying to point out is she used the word “ten”, not the digits 10. even using hexadecimal saying “ten” still means TEN (base16=A base10=10 base2=1010)
Sydney: [ Turns to Max, still in awe ] What exactly is her power? Like, make it so you can’t think properly?
eye color is reversed since last page….Purposeful?
Nope, I’m a dummy who doesn’t know his own characters. :P
Hey, she’s a spell-slinging succubus. Maybe her eyes constantly change color.
At least the Colonel managed to convince her to turn off the “I’m so hot, even straight gals would do me” spell….
seemed to me like she is also disguising her voice and had on the super sexy dripping pheremones voice that slides into your ear and coats it with sweet honey as it laps around.
After that comment…I will be in my bunk! :)
Adam Baldwin will go down in history for that line.
I still find Sydney the cutest female in the comic but that’s because I bought Huge Tits Resistance.
Yep after you have a few laps under your belt, so to speak, big boobs just aren’t all that attractive any more. Personality means more than boobs, and Sydney has personality flowing on the floor, I mean the adage “oozing from her pore” is just so inadequate for her…
Smalll Boom Rock the world !!!!
No seriously yea she the cutest and the most perfect girl in this comic, beside that crazy Muscled girl….. Would like here whole…….. Sorry :D
And double post i know, but god damn that i love her face expression :D
Agreed, Sydney is definately the cutest. Big boobs still hold their sway on me, but personality holds precedence and Sydneys antics make her one hell of a loveable character. My rule is this, it can be the hottest girl to ever walk the earth, but if she’s an evil psychotic bitch, I’m not getting near her with a ten foot pole let alone a shorter (as far as y’all are concerned, only slightly!) one that’s physically attatched to me!
And now I’ve got the lyrics to She Ain’t Pretty (she just looks that way) stuck in my head.
Personality does it every time.
A guy I knew was this classically shallow, “Who cares about brains, gimme looks” dude. Another friend hooked him up with a hot, busty blonde, who truly conformed to the stereotype. He was all “Aww yeah! Gimme!!”
A couple of hours into the date, he rang up his mate and said “Get me out of here! This chick is so dumb even I can’t stand her!”
Sydney in particular appeals to me. I like spicy food, and comics (duh!), and I frequently threaten inanimate objects that piss me off. Also, I’m ADD (without the H – I’m Osaka, not Tomo), and I can really dig the swerve she puts on reality.
Most of the women in this comic seem fairly inteligent with the exception of Brooke, but she has a sweet personality so that makes up for a lot.
The only woman in this comic I wouldn’t want to date in this comic would suprisingly be Harem because she has some growing up mentaly to do before I would consider dating her seriously.
Hook ups on the other hand…
Brooke would be Heatwave right? Considering she knew the term “Carmilized” I got the impression she has some book smarts, just slow on connecting things in the real world.
I’m not realy sure how smart or dumb Brooke might be, all I know is rom what I’ve read in this comic, and she appears slow on the uptake. I didn’t say she was stupid, ust not as bright as the oter girls in the comic.
Some of the buttons are not working very well on my compter today.
Plus you’d have to be okay with her potentially dating several other guys at the same time.
Exactly. Although it would be her mental maturity that is the deciding factor.
I’m old enough that I like women who have some mental perspection.
As long as I don’t hear “OH GOD GARY YESS!!!!!” on a date and my name being John, I think I can deal with it. :P
Two things, are her glasses getting lower and lower over time.
Other item either panel 10 or 8-3, at first glance I thought that was butt clevage.
Glasses do slide down the nose, so Syd’s glasses falling is actually normal.
I love your comic, but this page does show an erea where you might really want to work on your anatomy a bit more. I’ve noticed it in other pages prior to this but this one really stands out to me… It’s the breasts on your women.
And before you jump the posible standard conclusion, it’s not a size issue… it’s the shape and how and where they are attached to the women’s chests. You might want to check out some modleing magazines or find some women willing to modle for you so you can get a better idea. Women’s breasts are not perfectly round, they are more of a gently sloped teardrop shape.
The only breasts that are round and look like someone sliced an orange in half and stuck them to their chest are fakes and really bad fake’s at that. Dabbler’s breasts should slope naturally from her collerbone down to her actual bosom rather than being flat from the collerbone till just above the globes.
So truthfully, unless all of the women in your comic are running around with really bad boob jobs, (except for Sydney of course) you might want to consider working on that.
Otherwise, love it all! The content and artwork of your comic is great! I just have a problem with fake looking breasts.
Dabblers breasts should slope and probably would if she was not wearing a corset that forces the breasts into a rounder shape, mine, while not that big, also look round an abrupt like that when I wear corsets of that style, it forces the breast up which hides the slope…at least in my expirence.
Yeah, I have a friend who wears corsets too . . . he says the same thing. ;-)
Must expunge mental image,,,,,,, EYE BLEACH PLEASE
On the topic of dabbler’s breast, in her normal form she only has two, where as her bio shows four.
Here you go DragonTech64, have some ALIEN acid blood, I worked for me/
Did you just challenge me? :-)
Would it help you to visualize if I told you the reason he wears corsets? It’s because he’s too damn lazy to go on a diet.
HA HA HA HA HA! Nice! Sir, you have my respect just for that comment alone!
I’ll agree and disagree, depending on the support given. In this comic, Dabbler’s bosom appears to be both compressed and lifted by the garment she is wearing. This could easily give rise to the abrupt change of slope. (Do a google image search on “wonderbra” and you can see this in action.)
However, in the previous strip, #99, Dabbler has the frankenboobs thing going on with no visible means of support. (Especially as compared to Harem in panel 4.)
However, the ‘no visible means of support’ is compared to the natural human norms. Dabbler has a number of elements to her origin that can distort that, such as the 3 revealed portions of her heritage, being part succubus, part doppleganger, and part unspecified alien. Also, as a dabbler in sorcery and psionics, she may be using those powers to give herself invisible support because she finds it more comfortable.
Does not eliminate “Force Power Usage” or the standard “Telekinetic Breast Lift” from equation. Magic being unpredictable and shouldn’t be misused in such fashion, so use of force powers could be in use at time of entry.

It’s scary how well you did that. Seriously, not only could I actually see that as being an infomercial on TV, I couldn’t HELP but to visualize it!
I had a job writing disclaimers for companies before they outsourced for it.
DUDE!!!! You so need to write up one for DaveB!!!!!!!!!!!
Do something along the lines of how DaveB is not responsible for personal trauma from laughing so hard at the comic, comments ect ect
PLEASE DO!!!!!
***Bounces up and down in anticipation*****
And this comic is funny enough that a warning disclaimer should be posted on the side of the comic to keep from getting sued for laughing so hard you blew hot coffee up your nose.
Keep in mind that Dabbler’s appearance here is an illusion, and meant to be as sexy as possible (though to whom isn’t clear). As such, unlikely/impossible anatomy becomes quite possible. See this quote from the commentary:
So, if that’s what they find sexy, then that’s how it will look.
All fair points, but I will offer in my defense this: 1) I thought Dabbler’s leaning forward slopey boobs in the panel next to the stiletto boot were pretty good. 2) Dabbler may very well have dedicated boob magic, but mostly, 3) drawing boobs is surprisingly difficult, size, location, shape, there’s quite a bit to consider. I also mostly draw abnormally fit women which does affect the pec-muscle to boob transition. Most women don’t have much in the way of pec muscles. I mean, of course they physically have them, but most can’t benchpress their own body weight.
I really should have used some photo reference for Dabbler’s walk in shot though, and it is something I do need to work on. One of the running gags of the comic will be that people with superpowers are built like drawings of superheros, whereas Sydney obviously is not, seeing as she doesn’t have powers of her own, but I would like to improve all aspects of my art, so I’ll endeavor to use a little more photo ref until my natural boo drawing skill improves.
You’re doing a great job, and your art continues to improve strip-by-strip. Considering that you are drawing closer to realism than more webcomics (Sydney notwithstanding) you are likely to attract more attention when your anatomy strays from “real” than most would. I think I speak for most here, that when we criticize, we are trying to be constructive. On the whole, we are quite happy with the quality of your product here, so when it appears to vary too much, we notice it more than we would for some other strips I could name (but won’t).
I don’t think any of the criticism has been unfair or harsh at all. I’m all about improving.
Every artist should try to improve themselves with time and practice.
In order to improve your art ask your wife if you could do some life drawings of her. I’m sure you will both enjoy the time spent together.
Improving on boobs is always a noble effort. :)
And I tend to agree with most of what has been said in this thread, besides, bolt-on-boobies are not hot.
Look up Queen Latifa for the real deal on big girls.
Yeah, I wasn’t trying to be harsh. I’m an artist too, and I notice things like odd proportions. Photo references really do help to improve how things look in my drawings as well. I was only trying to be helpful, I really do enjoy this comic and just figured that you would wish to keep getting better so I pointed out an area that I felt needed some improvement on. Again, this is only my opinion and I am only one woman. So take my advice with a grain of salt.
Grey’s Anatomy works for me. also due to time and artistic constraints i use Daz3D 2.3 (free programing and models) to iron out perspective and anatomy issues when it comes to motion. and congrats on 100th page.
“Photo references” – is that what the artistic types are calling it these days?
That’s what they’ve always called it. I’m pretty sure cameras were invented with the express purpose of cataloging breasts. And butts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKGK2fplV_w
Well thats one way to intantervertly asking a girl to marry you.
I would like to add that this is also the case with many of the other SuperHeroines. Not as noticebly as with Dabbler (but she’s wearing a corset so it’s kind of excused) but still incorrect nonetheless. DaveB, if you hear us, it’s just something you could work on!
Issues? Issues?!?
Oh right, as ‘merkins count such things. The yurpeen goody goodness comes in albums, with bigger pages, and more of them to boot. You can do more of a story in 48 pages worth of A4, so there’s less emphasis on serialising, though there’s those too. As well as gag-a-page, one-shots, and so on.
Also: Oh hey, swapped eye colours.
So are we assuming Dabbler’s form is based on what Sydney thinks is attractive or perhaps the General?
One is more funnier than the other but still… very funny!
So I wonder who they’ll blame for Dabbler’s latest exploit?
Why would her disguise be targeted to the tastes of only one person in the room? It could be in her abilities as a succubus to create a form that at least the majority of people close enough to see her would find very attractive.
My thought: She uses a human seeming that she thinks is sexy, and then she uses a glamour, a mental broadcast to make people get the hots for her.
Regarding the breast drawing issues, Dab is a shape shifter so her body doesn’t need to really look natural, for the others I would suggest.

* The guide https://sephiramy.tumblr.com/post/26594484273
Just a guide of course, no substitute for property anatomy studies.
Okay, did the comment I added to my previous comment not get posted?
It contained two links. One was to a blog called ‘boobs do not work that way’, the other was to a boob drawing tutorial
If that first post doesn’t make it could all three be deleted?
Replace it with this one
I must say the use of colour in this comic is quite beautiful.
Posts with external links in them have to be approved by DaveB before they show up. This is an anti-spam measure. It usually only takes a few hours for Dave to do that, but sometimes longer.
Those have been linked before. Don’t worry about it, looks like it got randomly swallowed up by the internet.
Congratulations on your first hundred!
Is it strange I find what Xuriel really looks like is much more alluring than this “perfectionized” disguise? Don’t get me wrong, the disguise is a piece of art (pun intended) and aesthetically pleasing.
Thanks! It really depends on how exotic your tastes are. I enjoy variety so I’m good either way.
I… I don’t know. I suppose it doesn’t help I never thought she looks alien. Which is how most of the readers perceive her, it seems. OK, I’m not writing this to creep you out, or anyone else, so I hope it doesn’t.
Doesn’t creep me out. I, too, suffer (?) from xenophilia.
Most people seem to find the strange and unusual disturbing and ugly. Me, I like it. Yes, I see Dabbler/Xuriel as alien. I have no problem with this. Probably comes of learning to read from my mother’s science fiction magazines.
I’m not sure it is xenophilia in my case. The word implies favoring those different from own species more, while for me it is rather lack of opposite.
Dammit, I am under that spell already, am I?..
Well she IS an alien…partly anyway. And I’m rather glad I’m not the only one who prefers her natural appearance to her disguise. (Although if this was real, as the saying goes “I wouldn’t kick her out”) ;)
I’m a fan of her natural look as well. I learned at an early age to appreciate the differences that denote character, so I like people and things that are different. After all 9 times out of 10 the beautiful people really aren’t all that beautiful on the inside where it actually counts.
Yes, she is. I meant she never… felt alien to me? Something like that. I poorly worded that, sorry. I hope that happened because English is not my native language, not because I’m that dyslexic. :)
Though I can’t say the same on the last point of your post. 8-)
For some reason when I first saw Dabbler in her disguise I thought of Omnigal;
https://www.grrlpowercomic.com/archives/48
Same artist did both pictures. The art has realy improved over the last two and a half years.
Either that, or Omnigal is BASED ON Dabbler, since that RPG episode was a few months in the future of what today’s comic is showing. technically, this whole comic is just one big flashback so far.
or as Dave has implied in other comments Dabbler’s glamor illussion is a Beholder’s Beauty spell that is locked on what Sydney views as beauty so she is emitting that for all the world to see as her outward apperance. Thus Omni-gal being a mental invention of Sydney’s looking simular would make sense.
So the fact that I’ve been thinking of them as projectile weapons for the past 15 weeks hasn’t been so crazy?
Whoops only been reading 9 weeks but that is the comic I started seeing them as weapons started
Mmmmmm… shiny…
I’m too sexy for this organization.
Syd is questioning her sexuality at the moment.
Max made a funny!
Good lord, is the title for this comic a Marvel Avengers pun?
That succubus power seems like it would be very useful in a combat situation, especially against enemies that need to concentrate in order to use their abilities. It would be also useful against male speedsters and martial artists, especially ones with tight trousers.
Something like this?
https://superredundant.com/?p=582
He, He, Ha! Ha! Ha!
I laughed just like that when I saw that.
Thanks
It’s even better when you know her costume is body paint not fabric. *imitates Homer drooling*
I like how Sydney has a revelation about how she can manipulate her spheres, but for completely non-crimefighting reasons.
Actually, that sphere-use application could come in handy if they’re ever assigned a James Bond-type mission to infiltrate some eccentric villain’s casino–as long as the casino features skeeball.
I imagine that there’s a smokey saxophone solo accompanying her entrance.
“Dialing it down” appears to mean removing the floating hearts and pink word balloons.
Is it bad of me I never even noticed the boots until Dave mentioned them?
She has boots?????
I just re-read the entire archives, and this strip is probably maybe 4-5 hours after we first meet Sydney. Eesh, talk about a long ass day o.o.
Like they say, some of the best stories can take place over the course of a single afternoon.
Makes me think of Dazzler’s disco outfit.
and with boobs that big she could give Naga the white serpent a run for her money in the overtight outfit with bouncy boobs department.
on the comments, I don’t see many Succubi characters, but I will admit few are very (succubus) like. The most well known Morrigan Aensland is an S-class demon queen *was A-class in the games, but since the end of the third has been S-class in the VS titles and cross-overs). and the DMFA comic strip they have become just another race among many and feed on all sorts of emotions.
but the folklore does make them seriously overpowered creatures, but very sexual ones, a hard thing to balance out I think.
also on Anatomy, it looks fine, people are nitpicking this one. But then again I watch alot of anime. and reading comic books I have seen alot worse anatomy. I always go with, assume exageration in everything that isn’t live action.
No people aren’t nitpicking, we are only trying to help him improve his art. As an artist myself, I personally prefer it when people point out areas that they think I need improving on. As long as they are actually constructive rather than making statements like “Your art sucks, you should change it”. We aren’t picking on the artist here, just letting him know where he might like to get a little better.
And he is one of the better artist out there who is constantly trying to improve his art and it shows.
Her ‘head’? She has a head? Sorry. My eyes never went that high. :P
A suitably “Loki” entrance.
10 hex == 16 dec
So she never keeps it below 16 then.
Also, congrats on 100 pages!!! :D
Now get drawin’, I want 100 more!
That’s what I said! You said it better.
if one of the orbs allows her to see through disguises and the other is a galactic database type device then, Sydney’s might respond with “I take it the badly disguised is part of the team”
DaveB congratulations for your 100.
On a side note, if Dabbler is using her succubus power, the woman form she wield is the feminine ideal of Sydney or at least something that induce max lust (pun intended) in her.
Hum… come to think of it, since Dabbler is confronting a group, it might be a form that conpromise on all urges of those in the room which might explain why Maxima is reacting like that (she is affected, bur her gold skin does not show her blush of lust).
Strictly speaking, succubi work on the unconscious or dream-state mind. Her appearance could be an entirely subjective event where each viewer sees her a bit differently. For instance, while I do appreciate the vast boobage, I don’t find the scrunched down almost toe-less booted foot to be appealing, nor the heavy make-up and heavy bangs. And the low-rider pants just screams tramp too much to draw me in either. But that is just me, and “you mileage may vary”
I have never heard that before on Succubi, actually their shapeshifting in lore is never mentioned beyond genderswapping or disguises typical of supernatural creatures. Anything beyond that is the writer’s own creation (you can do alot with old folklore monsters with vague descriptions and only a handful of disguinishing traits).
Also this whole Beholder’s Beauty thing is so problamatic that it really falls short for anyone who has to be in a group setting, if she is before a crowd, or going after a single target she would be found out quickly as the one that looks different to different guards; especially if some of them have unrealistic ideals of beauty (like anime maid cat-girls or mermaids or something). Its just so much simpler to just use a basic glamor illussion that she modifies herself.
And judging from Sydney’s facial expression she’s probaly asking herself “Why do I find this chick hot?” or “I wish I had boobs like that.”
Thay’s kinda what I figured at first until I read Dave B’s comment about the “I’m the sexiest thing you can imagine”spell. I figured her reaction was more envy than anything else, and that Syndneys reaction in the last panel was one of “Holy Ferret Balls! Is that even possible? *grumble*Wish I looked like that*grumble grumble*. I think I assumed that at first because Sydney’s profile does say she has a bit of a complex due to being around “all the beautiful people”. Though after reading Dave’s comment the hearts and pink voice bubbles all made sense, as well as Maxima’s seemingly overblown reaction. She wasn’t mad at Dabbler for trying to appear too hot or asking her to dial down her appearance, it was the psychological effect that was cranked up too high.
Red, anything with links Dave has to approve. It’s to make sure it isn’t to trick people into looking at really crazy crap. I was once looking at deviantart and some dude posted a “link” that was supposed to be a tutorial on how to do blending/smudging in corel painter and it took me to some crazy site that put viruses on my comp that flooded me with kiddy porn. I was just unfortunate enough to be one of the firsts to actually look at it before an admin did.Which is why I’m glad this is the format that Dave uses. I’m smart enough to use anti-virus, but some people don’t and it does really put a cock block on trolls that try to ruin everyone elses experience.
Yeah, 2 links or more gets flagged for spam usually, but I don’t see his comment about the how to draw boobs. I know that’s been linked on previous comics though.
So if that Is a conglomeration of the collective desires of those in the room who has which? Must spectrumate.
“I am gold and funny”…
So, she is comedy gold?
rimshot!
So, if Dabbler doesn’t have shape shift, then her appearance is an illusion. Handy ability for when she is out in public. Still can’t wait to see Sydney’s reaction when she sees Dabbler’s true form.
The mind of ADHD, phenomenal cosmic power! ity bity living space.
Love the random thought on panel 5. I would totally do that. Love me some Skee ball.
You have to make a wallpaper of that.
Wich frame???
wow i want what ever spell she was using o-o
That’s natural ability to pull every eye and other body parts in the room towards you like a gravity well.
Okay, either Dabbler can shape-shift and lose the dangerous pointy things, which would be nice, or she’s throwing up an illusion, and you wouldn’t see them coming. Eek.
Part doppelganger, right? So she can actually shape-shift. Also, succubi have the ability to look like other people. In the fantasy story Open Clinic (sorry no link: NSFW site, also she appears in the middle of huge PDF) a succubus changes form to the ideal image for her partner. Over a few nightly visits, she becomes more and more what her partner desires. In this version, there are good succubi and evil ones.
Well… that would be about a 30 on a scale of 1-10… as for the boobs, the shape is fine, however it seems like the space above them, her chest, is abnormally large, especially if that corset is “lifting” them. Either that, or the lines for the bones that connect to the sternum (i forget what they are called) are too high. I do like the little hearts though.
Collar bone or clavicle, and I have to agree with you there. On there other hand, the outfit is really creative, and wether a person finds it personally attractive or not I think we all agree that it looks really cool. Also, the clevege next to the highheeled boot and in the last panel look a bit better.
Just realized something, if you focus on Dabbler’s face you’ll notice that her chest seems fairly normal and at the right height. I think that’s because they’re pretty much at the right level for that size assuming they’re sloping and sagging slightly due to lack of support (such as normal non-pushup bra or none at all). It really only looks like they’re too low when you realized that they’re being lifted up and therefore should be appearing higher by at least a couple inches. Still I gotta say, awesome job Dave! love Sydneys face in that second to last panel. Also I hope our comments have been more on the helpfull side and less on the “Nagging, breast-obsessed jerks telling you how to do your job” side. Though if you think about it, that’s actually one of the best things about this comic, it’s one of the few places where we can have a conversation about the wonderful subject of boobies and actually have it be an intelegent, analytical, productive, and even useful conversation. Why can’t more of life be like this?
I think most all the criticisms have been fair. Until I win some legitimate award for being “the best artist” then there’s plenty of room for improvement. After I win it though I’ll hang it on a ribbon around my neck and start every conversation with “do you know who I am?”
Damn Straight! Remember, it’s not arrogance if it’s earned.
No it’s PRIDE.
The man who’s going to burn our other comics down…. with the lemons?
are you talking about the big panel or the small panel?
The big one looks fine, that outfit looks like a rounder and not just a lifter,
the smaller panel…I think is supposed to be her butt. It has the same type of cover as the chest, but I can clearly see the hair is the back of the head and its her back. But honestly that butt looks far weirder than anything else on her right now. Who lifts their butt?
Been studying the panel, not sure now. It could be her chest with the way the white part goes down under it, the proportions and the hair make me think its her butt though, hmmm
Look at her pants in Panel 7. They are black, tight, presumably latex. They aren’t going to suddenly change color in the back. Next, still in panel 7, look at her hair, its long and flowing in the back, but in short braids in the front, and some of it is dyed pink. Now, look at panel 10, we see a braid, and some pink, much like we saw in panel 7. If this still isn’t enough for you, this is what Sydney can see as Dabbler walks toward her… Also, you can make out her collar bone under some of the hearts at the top of the image.
It didn’t occur to me that people would think that’s her butt for several of the reasons you pointed out. That panel is a victim of the large panel count. I had originally envisioned it larger and showing mouth to boob. :/
Yeah on the second look it is clearly her chest. I blame perceptual expectation distorting the image in my mind. Usually when I’ve seen a multi-panel illustrating a hot babe, we see the full shot up close, and the close ups involve, boots, eyes, lips, legs, butt, chest. For some reason my mind went the boot and butt connection. Like those rotating shots that show the boot, go up the leg as the camera rotates and shows her butt.
Congratulations on your first hundred pages, here´s to hundreds more!
By which point, if we’re really lucky, it will be tomorrow. (In Grrrlpower land.)
