I know. I’m referring to how in a lot of comic art, the artist wants to show as much boob as possible without showing a nipple, so there are strategically placed objects or sound effects or speech bubbles or whatever — and sometimes they really stretch the bounds of plausibility of where the nipple could be located. Yes, it might be higher up than usual, or lower down, or more out to the side… but sometimes there’s really just nowhere left for it to *be*.
Although, looking at the Lana comics, it seems like that artist might just take the “Barbie Doll” approach of simply not drawing a nipple no matter how much boob is shown, in which case Dave is just taking a cue from the original art.
I have seen YouTube videos showing bears in swimming pool and others showing an alligator in a swimming pool (thankfully, not both animals at the same time), but a shark in a swimming pool will soon die as it would be breathing the chlorine compounds mean to keep bacteria and algae under control. Maybe an orca?
That’s not a shark, it appears to be a bottle nose dolphin! They are ok for a short time in a swimming pool however they won’t eat you. Some have been a little rapey towards some people so it might be fitting for a Lana comic…
that also depends on if it’s a salt water swimming pool. There used to be a municipal swimming pool near Waikiki that was basically a walled in section of ocean way back when. and that pool is close enough to the water where it could hae just filtered ocean water in it
Aye, indeed. There’s a (at least one) pool along the boardwalk in NJ a bit south of Asbury Park that just fills itself up from the ocean. The kids get that salt water buoyancy and the pool operators (the township, I believe) don’t need to fuss about with chlorine and other chemicals.
That pool went in after I lived there, or maybe they didn’t tell the 7 YO me about it.
I always wondered about that. In the manga Milk Crown, one of the characters has a pet shark “Lady” who lives in the dorm swimming pool. I know they can be salt or freshwater and transition to an extent, but the treatment chemicals on the otherhand… unless they didn’t use any? But people (mainly Jin and Oto) have swam in it before. Meh, fiction is fiction I guess.
Btw: just seeing her face like that in the thumbnail made me think of Snow White with some very dark rings around the eyes lol.
