It’s almost like Dabbler wants to get into a fight with Maxima – which probably says a lot of things about her.
This page shows the lingering effects of Dabbler’s “lust aura” enhanced entrance. It’s an innate succubus ability which she has leveled up considerably, but she wasn’t pushing it very hard when she came in. On a scale of “Girl Lookit that Body” to “Insta-Orgy” this was about “6 Jello Shots.”
You’d think that Zeph would have some talent for resisting spells like this, or an enchantment or something, but then, maybe he has no particular reason to want to resist it.

I’ve always thought that was what one of the orbs did. Remember when Gwen scanned Syd’s tube and got a reading of “too empty” ??? I figure that was because an orb inside was nullifying her spell.
I was thinking he same thing. OR perhaps the orbs don’t activate since they’re always working? Automatic power that more subtle than the rest. But I have a felling it’s like it was stated earlier; that it requires a specific condition to activate.
This train of thought reminds me there was this manga/anime series called “Toaru Majutsu no Index” (A Certain Magical Index) with a main character called Toma. In a setting with a large population of psychic/magic power users he alone has an antipower: His right hand contains a power called Imagine Breaker, a power which negates all magic, psychic, or divine powers directed against him.

sounds kind of like the “Mage Killer” from (Modern Magic), this guy doesn’t call himself that, its just what he is. He is so immune to magic that he can neither see it or touch it except for seconday effects like explosions or fully manifested objects.
The seeing through illussions and not knowing about that skill always makes me think of the girl in El-Hazard who had that power, but never knew it till late in the OVA when she pointed out someone had blue skin who had been casting an illussion to hide what they were while attempting to assasinate someone.
I wonder if Harem has ever considered sprouting a male version?
All Harem copies started the same, the differences are cosmetic, not because she can initially manifest a different form. These forms remain consistent because she doesn’t have to destroy them between teleportations. So, no, not going to happen unless there’s a wacky mutation down the line, or one of the unknown orbs responds to sex change desires.
It may be possible with Zeph or Dabbler’s help…
Wait a minute, Harem’s an experience junkie. Has she tried to learn magic, yet?
Magic seems to be something you need the “Knack” to be able to use. It is quite possible that Harem simply doesn’t.
You never know with her. She hangs out with both Dabbler and Gwen so she might be taking lessons on the side to keep up with them, and to have more awsome powers and abilities so she wont be considered just a one trick pony.
She’s probably also learning a half a dozen other things as well.
Will Maxima need to use bondo on her rear, or will the dents eventually repair themselves on their own?
the impressions are most likely just in the clothes, but I’d imagine even with superskin the body retains some maliability to it; something too stiff couldn’t move or would actually make them more breakable.
Actually we sort of discussed this effect earlier with DaveB. If Maxima’s skin was always bullet-proof hard, she would be unable to do many normal things, like open a door knob or drink through a plastic straw. Also, intimate relations of any sort would be impossible, as would any sort of internal medical care.
However, Maxima can consciously dial her skin’s resistance to deformation back, like she can dial back any of her “always on” powers, so that she can interact with much of the ordinary world.
She would have to “dial back” to be able to grab Dabbler by the scruff of the neck without damaging her. And since her skin is dialed back to be more ductile, Dabbler is able to sneak in a butt-grab that actually deforms the butt flesh.
Speaking of the butt-grab, it took me WAAAY too long to figure out how it was done. I thought it was some sort of magic effect. I’d seen Dabbler’s normal form had four arms, and her “Glamour” illusion only has 2, but did not connect the dots enough to ask what happened with her other two arms.
Well, now I know. ^_^
I have a feeling that Maxima was less effected because she was already steamed when the “6 jello shot” effect hit her. If you are in a bad enough mood attraction can sometimes take a back seat.
Gotta say, I’m looking forward to Sydney meeting the rest of the group – in particular, the 2 “bank robbers”:

Sydney: Does anybody else smell that? It’s kind of like the time I heated up a bottle of cola in a microwave ’til it exploded. C’mon, someone has to smell that!

I am thinking things will go out of control in a few moments, that or the colonel steps in to stop the mess. I am also willing to bet Sydney will have a funny reaction seeing Dabbler as she really is. Ether way chaos seems to be waiting to happen.
Hes a general. Plus I think he’s more than smart enough not to get between a half demon and someone who bears a very striking resemblence to a goddess who can rip steel with her bare hands.
Or were you talking about Maxima? She is a Colonel, so I could have misinterpited what you were talking about.
The reason for Dabblers top shifting position is simple the entire “Look” is a glamour. Glamours are illusions that are so good you can’t tell when they shift or move until it has already happened and are mostly in the mind of the observer. Whichever angle you are looking at her will just barely not show her most interesting bits. So if you are looking a t her from the side and there happens to be something in the way (the orb) it will look like it is showing a whole heck of a lot, while when you look at her from dead on the top covers all the necessary bits, in a very enticing way.
I am entertained, and yet forced to ask.
Why is Arianna’s blush orange? Kind of dumps me out of the storyline.
Still deeply entertaining, though.
Her skin is yellow gold, combine that with red and you get a orange tint in her blushes.
That’s what I would do with invisible arms.

It’s not your imagination. I thought he would be a great model for my general and I have a bit of an issue with drawing generic looking guys if I don’t use it reference. Fortunately I’m not good at drawing an exact likeness so I don’t owe him a performance fee. :)
I mean if he knew about the comic and asked… and I was making money on the comic I’d be happy to throw him a few bucks. That’s a lot of ifs though.

just noticed, but Dabbler’s shirt in the first panel is kinda wonky (her breasts would have to be crazy contorted to match up the side view with the front view)
