These are going a lot faster than I imagine her doing it in the comic, but I did this frame by frame by hand in Photoshop, not flash since I have no idea how to use it. If anyone wants to try doing a lazier spin I can give you a PSD file with the two layers.

So, I have started to do the animation, if you could give me the image of the orbs alone I can do the orbiting constilation, I should be able to have the image alone.
How slow of a rotation do you want it?
Here is my version. Obviously I can slow down the rotation easily. There is a glitch in one of the orbs as the PSD file, did not have information for it.

So many comics and written stories talk about how wonderful flying is, but so few of them show it.
In my Masks stories, most of the characters who can fly like it, and some love it. In an early one a girl whose powers have recently manifested plays flying tag with her Uncle in her back yard. It’s his way of testing her while giving her some basic training. Near the end, he lowers himself from a tree upside down, rather like is shown here.
I’m enjoying this strip, and this sequence – and the animation – are examples of why.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Not terribly surprising, since it’s magical flight.
We’ve already gotten an explanation that Maxima can fly using, in essence, a skin-tight telekinetic bubble. A flight method like that would make one’s hair defy gravity. There are others that would as well, such as if it changes the way gravity affects her in the first place.
Yeah that’s not just me being lazy, it’s intentional and will come up later.
