Grrl Power #85 – Wild imaginings. Hopefully.
Welp, tube’s open. See you next week!
Hah hah no. I swear I’m not trying to jerk you guys around with the tube, this is just how it happened in my head, and that’s pretty much what I’ve run with so far. I’ve always said that since I can’t draw this fast, I’d work towards having a fun ride along the way and also toward making the archive dive a good read. So before anyone gets too bent out of shape, the proper reveal is next week, I promise. That being said, this is everyone’s last chance to read up on pre-open Grrl Power, so share it around on Facebook/Twitter etc. Starting to read the comic at next Monday’s page would take some of the excitement out of the build up. I wish I had time to do a dedicated “what’s in the tube” Project Wonderful campaign.
In fact this week’s comic is actually page #86. I couldn’t fit everything I wanted on this page, the only solution would be to break it into 2 separate pages, but that would have meant doing 3 pages with cliffhanger endings, and that would officially make me a dick. Page #84.5 got partially done, but I realized there was nothing actually critical happening on it, it was just a lot of jokes so I decided to skip it.
You know, those cut pages you’re talking about, you could do them up properly when you have time, and put them up as bonus comics or vote incentives or Patreon rewards or something. I’d be interested in reading that.
Finally getting back to this comic. Really interested to see where this goes…
Also, since when was there Rainbow Dash in this strip? I blame the Baader-Meinhof Phenomenon.
Shouldn’t that be the Baader-mienHOOF phenomenon? hur hur hur.
“The harvest begins” – that shouts for continuation!
Y’know… considering everything that follows this, thus far… This little tidbit, about them “falling asleep”… this seems like it should actually be significant.
I’m re-reading this part and I’m laughing so hard at the last panel right now. How did I forget all these gems?! “How did I forget those were in there and why were they living in harmony?!” “Guess which one of them has grandkids.” Hadn’t noticed that comment before, it adds an extra layer of hilarity. XD
Well that’s nice, dashie in a tube just raised bthe coolness of this comic by an unspecified percentage
Rainbow Dash.
I totally back the Rainbow Dash theory.
hmm…
eldritch monsters bent on probably killing humanity
anime madness
a cat army
snakes and bees
I don’t know which is more terrifying.
It depends on what you’re into and how realistic you want to get. On the !00% realistic side snakes and bees are immediately painful and terrifying. But if you assume all four options can happen then eldritch monsters are the scariest in theory. Tolerance of anime madness is subjective to how much anime you consume on a regular basis
Oops, meant to type 100%.
an army of kittens of course, if they can’t kill you with claws they will kill you with cute
The thoughts of what could be in the tube made me laugh so hard that I think I may have actually given myself a hernia! I love this webcomic!
This is hands down my favorite page in the comic.
Seeing their thoughts is excellent.
I love how everyone else’s imagination is conjuring up something scary/disturbing while Maxima is thinking of kittens
Most things are equally non-threatening to Max.
that last panel is one of the funniest things i have ever seen. espically arianna’s.
