Grrl Power #606 – Boring meeting? Try orgasms why not?
Hi and welcome to Grrl Power. If this is the very first page of the comic you’ve ever seen, you might be a little confused. Allow me to explain. First, read the previous page. That chick with the white hair? That’s the same chick with the strawberry blonde hair on this page. And the one with the yellow blonde hair. See, there’s 5 of her in total. Actually, it’s more accurate to say there’s one of her, she just has 4 extra heads, torsos, and the associated limbs.
Also Dabbler can sense tantric energy. Dabbler is the purple one.
For everyone else… uh, welcome back. I’ve wanted to do this page since the day I thought of Harem. Only took me 8 years to… Holy crap have I been doing this comic for that long? Wow, 8 years in August. Yikes.
This is the second page I’ve tried to color without inking first. I thought it wasn’t faster, but when I was about halfway done with the page when I realized that both times I’ve tried it, I was working on double pages. The other one was the funhouse boob mirror page. So it may actually not be all that much slower. I’ll have to experiment further.
If you haven’t seen it, I posted my Valentines Day Sex Drive thing yesterday. So click on it for boobies! Actually, click on it to see all the other participants, and follow those links for a cornucopia of boobs. Possibly some dongs as well. I haven’t checked out all the action yet.
Double res version will be posted over at Patreon. $1 and up, but feel free to contribute as much as you like.
Gotta ask, was Harem’s concept inspired by anything in particular? I’ve seen a few places where a character functions as a relatable-scale “hive mind”, but it’s extremely rare. I’m really happy to see her concept get such a great treatment.
Other than James Madrox and the Emma Frost’s Cuckoo’s, who else?
There’s the Paratwa from Christopher Hinz’s “Liege-Killer” books: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/589852.Liege_Killer
To a certain extent, there is Mars, from A Miracle of Science webcomic.
Madrox is not a hive mind because his clones are functionally separate, and the Cuckoos have separate identities. I was thinking more like Miss Level in the Terry Pratchett novel A Hat Full of Sky.
Daphne isn’t a hive mind either, she has a single mind and multiple bodies
That kind of thing is sometimes classified as a hive mind. See TVTropes.
There isn’t really a better name for it anyway. “Polysomatic individual”? Kind of a mouthful…
Multicorporeal entity?
Pretty much always. It’s the closest thing to a bee hive or an ant colony, with only the single exception that killing the queen doesn’t throw the rest of the hive into disarray. And since Daphne says that she has no idea what would happen if one of her were to die, and since we know that a broken wrist or an atomic wedgie or a joke being told to a different body or an orgasm carries over all to all of the other bodies, the surviving bodies being in a state of mental and physical shock isn’t terribly outside the realm of possibility. In other words she could be a hive mind with five effective queens.
The only other identical one I’ve seen was a character in Schlock Mercenary. Except it was a species trait and his bodies were connected by radio so they put in a FTL repeater and had him act as his own wingman.
I did independently come up with one that could create and dissolve versions (they’d merge memories when dissolved) but they were separate when separate.
The idea mostly stemmed from a desire to both sleep in and go to class so I doubt I’m the only one to imagine that power set.
Yeah, that seems to be the more common method. Madrox, Triplicate Girl, Naruto…
I would have to think that the differing tasks would lead to envy between duplicates that would be remembered and lead to lingering bitterness. Differences in attention given to them in raunchy situations would be much worse!
there was a TV film for superheroes called ‘The Specials’, and it had a character called Twelve-Who-Are-One
Also
Nice O face there, Harem.
My original concept for her was a girl who could make persistent duplicates, but I couldn’t figure out at what range she could make her dupes. Eventually, I combined that ability with teleportation which solidified her in my mind, but she always had the single mind and distributed physical presence.
DaveB: “My original concept for her was a girl who could make persistent duplicates, but I couldn’t figure out at what range she could make her dupes. Eventually, I combined that ability with teleportation which solidified her in my mind, but she always had the single mind and distributed physical presence.”
Well, described that way, she sounds very similar to Array, from Fred Perry’s Gold Digger (absent the teleportation). Somehow I never made the connection before now; I take that as an indication that Harem is interesting enough as a unique personality that she doesn’t come off as hack-ish. ^_^
Oh, wow. There’s a French short story by Marcel Aymé from 1943 “Les Sabines”/”Sabine Women” where a woman can duplicate herself and live through all the bodies simultaneously. She uses this to cheat her husband, only to keep having additional affairs until there are hundreds of duplicates. Of course it has to end with one of her getting killed and she dies entirely.
Daphne has probably read that story, which is why she doesn’t want to ‘test’ out what happens if one of her dies
Doubly so as science would support the risk. Harem’s brains are quantumly linked. Meaning that what happens to one also happens to another. Dabbler’s Science Corner #2 confirms “… the meat is quantumly interconnected …”, so it is not just a case of the information being duplicated, it is the physical condition.
So the wound from a bullet passing through Harem’s brain should be replicated in every brain!
On the plus side that only happens with that one organ. We have seen her arm being broken without it (physically) harming her other bodies. In that case only the pain was an issue for the rest of her.
So the other Harems prevent the bulletstruck Daphne wave from collapsing to the dead state and maintain her superposition, she’s her own observer? Or more like helium running uphill as a Bose condensate because it doesn’t have the energy required for the state transition gravity is trying to induce?
I’ll ask the obvious question: Why didn’t she just use her first duplicate to have all of her affairs? Unless the affair turns into a long term thing there seems to be zero reason to do so.
Aside from the obvious issues with needing duplicate identification (or having to pass them around at times), there are the issues with the room and board of any duplicates, securing a job (and today with any employer being able to see that “you” are looking for a job just by searching the same sites you post your resume on this might cause issues with the ‘primary’ job), having the same social network unless Dupe2 (Dupe3, etc.) is perfectly happy just walking away from all her friends and family, it seems to me that making more than one would be a huge pain in the ass.
Check out the date that the story was written. At that time a woman was expected to stay at home, clean the house, bear children, look after them, cook the food and tend to her husband’s needs. Without any of the modern conveniences such as washing machines, cookers, vacuum cleaners, and so on, all those chores could take up every waking moment.
Especially when you factor in that water might need to be carried to the house, wood chopped for fuel and cooking, or that coal soot would require extensive time cleaning the house.
Even in a wealthier house, with servants, a woman’s hours would be spent supervising the staff. Plus then there is the difficulty of having multiple pairs of eyes watching you, so that there is an even greater chance of being discovered.
Then throw in the fact that society was extremely unforgiving of women being unfaithful, so the consequences of being caught were more severe than today.
So it would be very hard for a woman to either find the time or, if she did, safely conduct an affair. However if she could duplicate herself then one could attend to all the chores whilst the other slipped off to her lover. And if someone should happen to spot them, she has the perfect alibi that she was at home. If she made sure that servants, neighbours or other individuals got to see her at the key times.
Mind you that was written when France was under wartime occupation by the Nazis, so it makes me wonder if it was set pre-war, and would thereby be even more conservative?
Whereas if it was set in France, when it was written, there would be a whole bunch of other dynamics in play. But, as a short story, I imagine it would have avoided the complications involved in that. Or at least would have kept things as generic as possible, to avoid any ramifications of drawing undue attention.
French women having affairs with the occupying troops did cause a lot of resentment. Post-war such women received much abuse, such as being stripped and having their clothes torn from them. So it would be a brave or foolish author to draw attention to such activities (maybe even being viewed as supporting collaboration).
Unfaithfulness isn’t limited to only upper class women. Or men, who in the same time period often had their time fairly well regulated by their employer. And the Church and society had the same poor view of affairs for men and women.
I can’t speak specifically to the novel since I have not read it. The best review of it I have been able to find reads:
None of my points about the issues of such duplication appear to be out of place even in an earlier era, however. People still need to have food, housing, and clothing no matter what era they are duplicated in. Birth certificates might not be a thing but records are still kept. And even in the legend of Jesus a census is mentioned. And however much that census is disputed as an historical fact it is still an accurate statement to say that were a census an unknown event that it would not have been used as an attempt to authenticate the fable of why Mary and Joseph needed to travel from their home town of Nazareth to Bethlehem immediately prior to the birth of Jesus.
There’s a somewhat similar character named Gestalt (or The Gestalt Siblings) in a book called The Rook, but they were four children born with a single mind, and are three men and a woman. Same sort of ‘multiple bodies, one mind’ type thing though, but without the ability to make new bodies.
So, I gotta ask–how many of her spares are out right now and how many of them are doing this
All five. Harem’s strength goes up exponentially the fewer bodies she has out. It would be all to easy to squish Deus if her strength was too high!
Only the one. Deus is that good.
She may get stronger, butt doubt she would get that strong
We still don’t know if Deus even has any powers.
People have been known to accidentally kill each other during sex. If Harem was operating at sixteen times her normal strength (assuming just having the two bodies total, and that I am remembering the progression right) that is more than enough to accidentally crush someone or rip off a vital part.
Lets say a woman of Harem’s size and weight who works out with a military level of training can press 100 lbs. So if her strength is merely multiplied inverserely by how few clones she has that would give her a strength level of 5x greater or the ability to press 500 lbs. That means her legs are even MORE powerful as women are built proprtionaly stronger in the lower body than men. Given this I think a sigular Harem could possibly inflict broken bones or even internal injuries to Deus were she to involuntarily squeeze him with significant force (heh a real Xenia Onatopp).
Now if, as its been suggested, that her strength goes up exponetially with less bodies then we are talking some talking some real super strength. The 500 lbs bench press is at the extreme range of possibility for women as I believe a total of 4 women have acheived this feat thus far. So not quite super human but definitely peak human ability. So lets take our very fit woman standard again of 100 lbs and and plug that into an exponetial equation in this case for Harem we would get a maximum strength of a 1600 lbs bench press so a little over a ton and a half. And that would be more than enough to pulp Deus assuming he’s not empowered himself in some way.
100 pounds bench press seems way low. This page: https://strengthlevel.com/strength-standards/female/lb has some numbers and this image (https://www.women-info.com/en/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/height-weight-2.jpg) gives height/weight ratios…I don’t know the body mass for one Harem, but let’s say it’s ~140 lbs since she’s supposed to be something like 5’8″ and she’s very fit. That gives her a bench press of somewhere between 105 and 153, or possibly as high as 206 if she’s in the ‘Elite’ category.
Your figures appear to be fairly well in line with reality. Women who are not exercise fanatics are quite often very light compared to those who are. This is due to the simple fact that muscle is about three times as heavy as fat. A slim woman (i.e. one without much spare fat) can be very light compared to a woman of the same build who is an athlete. Your typical runway model or Playboy model will of course be very lean, because they would not have that status if they were not. But they might not have a lot of muscle mass, because the same professions do not place a high priority on athletic ability.
Most women who weigh 152 lbs would be considered to be fat, if that was the only known fact about them. But consider Taylor Pischke, who does weigh 152 lbs. She is 6’0″. Even on such a frame a woman of 152 lbs might be considered to be overweight or “chunky.” But she is a Canadian Woman’s beach volleyball player, and is completely lean and fit. And she is small breasted, which is a place many women can carry a few pounds that most do not count against them. I have no idea how much weight she might be capable of bench pressing, but I’d be quite surprised if she wasn’t capable of pressing at least her body weight of 152 lbs.
Your ratio is off. Fat is 0.9kg/l while muscle is 1.06kg/l, or a little more than 15% denser.
They both have to be close to the density of water, or humans couldn’t swim. Note that if your body fat percentage is low enough, you would have difficulty floating in water.
A ton is 2000 lbs, so 1600 is 80% of a ton, not more than “ton and a half”.
I confirmed with the Dabbler’s Science Corner that it goes up double for every version less that she has.
So:
5 bodies 1x each
4 bodies 2x each
3 bodies 4x each
2 bodies 8x each
1 body 16x strength
This gets more interesting when you consider that she’s still potentially going to get additional bodies.
6 bodies 32x max
7 bodies 64x max
8 bodies 128x max!!!!
Gotta love exponential growth.
Meh, its only +5 Strength (gotta love exponential carry cap tables). What’s one extra damage class in the throes of passion?
Heh. In Champions your Strength did an additional D6 damage for a punch with every +5 points, but the table showing how much you could lift was quite exponential. A 10 STR normal could lift 100 kg (~220 lbs) but a 20 STR superhero could lift 400 kg (~880lbs). And you’re still only doing 4d6 damage compared to the puny human 2d6 damage…
There was some explanation in the rules about how you couldn’t really use the extra strength efficiently, but it was mostly so your character couldn’t buy enough STR to explode someone. Which would not simulate (most) comic books, which was the point.
At some point Harem will be able to carry all the rice in China!
IPsh. You’re assuming there is only one with Dues.
We could see the scene with him. If there is another one she had to have joined it subsequently. But, no matter how many Harems are present, there is still only the one Deus.
I will not Brooke any polytheistic alternatives. On pain of fire and brimstone being rained down upon you!
Get it? Heatwave? *wink wink, nudge nudge*
Err not that I am suggesting that she is helping out in any way. She seems faithful to Mr Amorphous.
Not to mention that Brooke is present at the meeting.
So, on the last page, Harem’s bangs are left down, but in this they’re suddenly tucked in. Assuming this is the same meeting as before…
Same meeting, just a ‘continuity error’
Or she’s so bored she keeps playing with her hair.
Oooo, most excellent “No Prize” answer
Whoops. Yeah, uh, playing with hair.
Also in the 4th panel it looks like her eye is sitting on top of her hair… It just looks weird…
He really is that good, huh? I mean, I figure she’d have practice, unless she usually, er, ‘coordinates her efforts’?
She’s only 19, and only had the 5th body for a year
And yet still has stated in canon that she maintains multiple, simultaneous boyfriends and a libido that no one man can satisfy.
So please don’t expect to convince anyone with your arguments of young age and inexperience…
Now the only thing i can think about is the mechanics of every Harem doing it at the same time… like does it magnify no matter what, or would too different sensations fuck it up, would it require all the partners to sink up actions?
Can’t stop thinking about it lol.
I can understand that. After all, this is officially DaveB’s first example of a sex scene being done in full view on the page, complete with multiple angles of viewing.
I love how correct you are… and yet… Well, it’s beautiful. Thank you for the bonus laughter. You have my gratitude.
*carefully examines page*
You know, he did not even blur any nipples!
I don’t know if it’s been said, @DaveB, but Dabbler is missing the fur in her ear in panel 12.
Yeah, that’s the inner part of her ear, butt yes, it does seem it was missed and to be added to “The List” (not the same “The List” as Sydney’s)
Just gotta say, you did a really good job with all the faces on this page, the expressions, the proportions overall… Loved the eyebrows of frustrated squirmy hidden behind the tablet ness…and I love the way Harem is the only one colored in on that long table shot. Good use of muted colors for popping focus on her. Well done!
Thanks! That panel was actually left gray because I was running out of time, but I like how it turned out. :)
May have not been intentional, butt it makes it work better
Honestly, It probably looks better than if it where colored, if you’re looking to reduce the amount of work stuff like this is a good way to do it.
Just read an article referring to the ‘Scoville scale’ xD
https://www.bbc.com/future/story/20180216-spice-why-some-of-us-are-hardwired-to-like-it-hot
I choose to believe that the VD pic is canon. Nothing will convince me otherwise.
You and me make three! Was saying that before the VD pic even came out
She did talk about payment depending on her proclivities :D
hmm. This is weird timewise. I thought this was like a short flashback.
but. Dabbler’s comment makes me think that Dabbler is pretty new to that scene.
It is. Click back just one page previous. Upper-left corner, “Sometime in the recent past.”
We don’t know how recently this is, but Dabbler hasn’t been with Archon for very long, even comparing to Sydney joining…I’d guess perhaps a few months at most. Dabbler is still a “Civilian Specialist & Consultant,” not officially a member of the military.
And considering Dabbles is literally an ET, she probably never will become an ‘official’ member
The biggest clue is also on that page. Namely Arianna talking about “once we go public”, in a future tense. Placing this back at least before Sydney joined the team, as they went public that afternoon.
So the very latest it could be is the afternoon, with Peggy taking Sydney to lunch in the food court.
However with Dabbler clearly not being familiar with Harem, it is likely to be earlier still than that. So your timescale seems reasonable.
Figured the very latest it could be would be that morning, not the afternoon, seeing how Sydney went to the Bank at lunchtime and the Press Conference was slated for that afternoon
Yup. But we do not know what Maxima, Dabbler, Harem and Arianna were doing whilst Sydney was getting her eye slapped by spicy noodles. The military like to do briefings before any operation.
Arianna needed to tell Dabbler not to reveal her alien form. Maxima needed to tell those who would be called to speak, so they could prepare their parts. Likewise for those expected to show off their powers.
And Arianna would have to warn them that, once they go public, their lives will change forever.
Not that I am saying it was that afternoon. But the bodies were unaccounted for during that window of opportunity, and the press conference was still a future event. Albeit an imminent one.
You really believe The Daphne’s would be in a condition to get Deus’d so soon after the Maxima Wedgie? Plus, Abby was wearing different glasses when she face-planted the cupboard door (you can still see them in her Mugshot)
The phrase “Not that I am saying it was that afternoon” would indicate that I am not fixated on it being then. However the case can still be presented. The various things that happened were painful but not debilitating. A stubbed toe, a banged knee and the wedgie itself was inflicted to hurt rather than to cripple.
Those take minutes to get over, barring any bruising or abrasions. Plus the super doctor is only a heartbeat away, should accelerated healing be called for.
Face planting into a cupboard door sounds like it could have damaged her glasses though. But easy enough for a teleporter to pick up a replacement pair.
Yeah, it’s like, I dunno, a week before the comic started. Not the flash forward but, but the proper timeline.
Always figured the first couple pages was the ‘proper’ time, and this is just a ‘recap’ of what happened leading up to Archon joining Sydney
So, Dabbles only joined the team a week before Sydney?
Have you figured out the joining-times of the others? Obviously Peggy would be shortly after Maxi, probably Maxi’s first recruitment (“We are going to need a pilot, and I know the perfect one, she’s not a Super, butt I trust her completely”)
Not necessarily. All we can see is that:
1) Dabbler had not settled into the team yet (“I think I’m going to like it here”).
2) This was the first time that Dabbler got to form an opinion of Harem.
You can actually know someone, casually, at work for quite some time, before some incident or comment may cause you to make such a decision. Likewise it is easy to imagine that it would take a significant time to get used to a new planet, and race, strange customs, pick up the language (not hard in Dabbler’s case) and get indoctrinated into a government organisation to the point where they are willing to introduce her to other key personnel.
So the wiggle room could be a week and a day up to a period of months again.
The feel though would be closer to the week, as you have taken it. I can’t imagine Dabbler taking long to do the above tasks.
She is, at least to Archon
Just Harem’s luck to be sitting next to Dabbler when all of this is going down. Love the reaction of the lady in the coffee shop and blonde Harem feeling no need to restrain herself in public. I just imagin said bystander going to the counter and saying, “I’ll have what she’s having.”
look over the last three pages. the art styles for each page are wildly different. so different in fact that I think that Dave had 3 different artists do them. Color, line art and lay out. all different. has anybody else noticed this?
Dave may have guest Daves visiting from parallel universes. I am confident it’s just Dave drawing, though.
If you check Dave’s blog above you will see that he is trying out his new style, on this page. One that does not do inking prior to the colouring. Which incidentally he did on this page, in a way that compliments the new style. The previous two pages were actually coloured by Keith, using Dave’s previous style.
Other than that the first of the three pages is done in tones suitable for outside, full daylight scenes, as befits Maxima and Harem being on a rooftop. Whereas the next page was indoors, in a room with subtle mood lighting. Plus Dave was focusing on conveying the passionate emotions. So there was a difference in emphasis in how he drew their faces. With Deus’s standing out, because we were getting to see a different side to him than we had before.
Arianna looks like Odo from Ds9…thats what im saying.
Yea, she does lack definition enough to justify that (albeit leaning that way, rather than quite being that bad).
I don’t think it was her toe that got banged.
The toe was probably the only thing that didn’t get banged :P
Actually, that’s a believable excuse coming from her specifically.
Certainly, if Deus has a foot fetish.
Oh … you meant stubbing her toe? Yes … yessss.
More likely if Daphne has the foot fetish, unless Deus likes getting pegged with a big toe…
Oh yeah, she can see sexual auras……*snicker*
Hm, judging by this reaction with only one Harem having sex what would happen if each Harem had sex at the same time. I mean, obviously they would end up contributing to each other’s arousal and feeling what each of their partners are doing to them but how high is her sensory tolerance? If they all orgasm at around the same time will feeling their own orgasm, in conjunction with the other Harems orgasms, cause a heart attack or make them black out?
I imagine she would be a varietable meal for Dabbler.
I guess she can handle it, she offered two or three of herself to that other girl in the shower scene
The main ‘problem’ with this, is Berry having to supress it, which probably contributed to such a ‘potent’ reaction from Blondini
It reminds me of an interview by the late Terry Wogan, on prime-time BBC, with Omar Sharif. In it they talked about a climactic scene, where Omar is witnessing a massacre. Omar said something to the effect of: “The director took me to one side and told me ‘I want you to look like you feel when you are about to sexually release yourself, but choose to hold back.”
For some reason Terry seemed to be quite embarrassed. But it does serve to show that withholding, as you suggest, can heighten the experience. Enough that even thinking about it can create a powerfully emotive change in their expression.
Albeit, interestingly for this scene, not necessarily in a way that the viewer will be able to successfully interpret, without some additional clues. So Daphne may yet get away with her ‘banged toe’ excuse.
Unless Maxima was paying attention to the audio clues that her elf ears may have been picking up.
When I read this, I first thought about being asked to go in front of the class and solve a math problem on the board, right after your teenage hormones gifted you with a raging erection.
Then I thought, Harem could have an orgy while masturbating.
Remember the paralyzing cunningulus comment near the start of the comic? She implied in the under the page art that she does have oral sex with herself
And from the “eew” that Gwen gave, she could pick up (presumably from subtle versions of what we see on the above page, or just being good at intuiting from the tone used) that Harem was doing that, or some variant, as they spoke!
Hehe welp THAT is interesting. :)
Something got banged, but I’m pretty sure it wasnt a knee.
No, I don’t care if someone else already made this comment.
Lol. It is worth saying regardless.
That eyeball popping through the hair in panel four looks really odd.
Hadn’t even noticed
Likewise.
The eyes are pivotally important, in anime, and Dave’s style is influenced by that. So ‘transparent hair’ (when it gets in the way) is a thing you will see if you go back through the comic. Usually with the more anime influenced characters (principally Sydney, being the one with bangs).
But I can get that, for someone who is not used to the practice, might have that stand out.
Is blonde Harem in panel 10 at college; or is that supposed to be a random location?
A foo-court, whether the one in-building or elsewhere, only
The ShadowDaveB knowsI don’t know why but I thought it was outdoors. Perhaps the fairly open spaces and the way the light and shadows play.
But looking at it more closely, there is no hint of road, grass or any outdoor stuff, so you are right. I can’t remember the pretzel shop from the Archon building food court. But we probably have not seen all of that yet. So it could indeed be either there or some other (probably) random location.
Although it could be a food court at (or near to) a college. Harem is still studying, so that is a good guess.
The shadows are almost directly under the tables and chairs, so unless it is high noon and the sun is directly over-head, it is more likely to be indoors than out
Plus the way the two stores are positioned, with huge ‘open’ entrances implies they would be closed via roller doors (either the ‘solid’ kind or the more-common ‘bars’), and you normally see those only on the indoor stores (even if the ‘indoors’ covers several blocks and a couple stories)
Shopping mauls, and their associated food courts, usually have multiple light sources, at quite a height, which create a fairly even light, with no strong shadows, from any one particular direction.
This will be the subliminal cue that I was getting which was giving me an outdoors feel, despite the other lack of evidence for that.
But there is no reason why there may not be a low ceiling, just out of sight, and that the designers chose to put in strong lights from a central point. Precisely to give an outdoors feel to the open space.
Or it may be an open air pedestrian area?
The roller blinds do not give a real clue, as they can be found in stand alone stores anywhere, not just in shopping mauls. Plus the pretzel shop does not appear to have those, in any event. Unless it is hidden behind their sign or the price lists (which is possible).
The opening is way to wide for a conventional door, and some places do have the roller doors on the inside (the kind that rolls up, not retracts sideways)
Shopping malls not mauls (big sledge hammer or what a bear does, biting, tearing, rending)
Heh hadn’t even noticed :)
Isn’t that what happens when the sales are on?
Harem wasn’t *exactly* lying. If, possibly, you consider she didn’t enunciate “camel” in that last sentence. :-^
You know what, I had never considered that Harem might have any non-human bodies? Kind of goes against the teleporting but leaving a copy behind. But if she had been carrying a baby camel (a real small one), in one of her duplicating teleports, she could have had an unfortunate merging.
On the plus side camels do have toes (with a big nail that looks like a hoof). So you are right.
Darn it. Obviously that was intended as a reply to Continuity.
The tab I had open had been shut down, in an unfortunate kitten-related incident. So I was pleased when retrieving it from my history that the reply was still populated with my text. Therefore I just finished it off and posted it. Not realising that it had moved the text from a reply field to a new comment box!
… IF one of Harems other selfs gets pregnant will all the others also get pregnant?
Also if one of her self gets knocked up and reabsorbed due to an injury and then… released (?) along whit another self would both selfs be pregnant?
Would she even be able to reabsorb a pregnant self?
These things and ways to lift Thors hammer indirectly keep me up during nap time.
No. They may suffer psychological effects and possibly physiological ones too. So could have phantom pregnancy or morning sickness. But each body is distinct from the others. If you tattoo one, it does not appear on another. When Harem broke an arm only that body suffered the injury.
No. Because Harem does not ‘reabsorb’ her bodies. Rather think of it as putting them into storage, somewhere that time does not affect them, nor anything else in the outside world. Including anything happening to the other bodies.
When the Harem with the broken arm was put into storage, the injury was not given to the other bodies. Instead it stayed in exactly the same state when it came out, as when it was put into storage. Which is why Daphne knew the pain would be intense. To that body the injury had only happened a few seconds beforehand, even though a day or more had passed in the outside world. Restoring the body she felt that pain but no injury.
Likewise with a pregnant body. If it got put into storage in the first week of pregnancy, and retrieved nine months later it would still be pregnant, none of the other bodies would have caught pregnancy, and it would still only be in the first week of pregnancy, so Harem would have to wait another nine months before giving birth.
I hope you can now sleep easy.
Thanks m8 i appreciate it.
That answers almoust all my questions.
Now about Thors hammer and how to lift it whitout being Thor or worthy…
My pleasure.
Oddly enough earlier today I listened to a blacksmith, who was forging a duplicate of that, saying that he was making it hollow, (hence I won’t link to the video, as that made it boring) so that it could be lifted. Even like that it weighed 20 lbs (9 kg). Solid it would weigh 200 lbs (90 kg)!
Making it almost impossible for any human to wield it in combat, as they would struggle to even lift it up.
Even harder if you don’t have thumbs!
*holds out paws*
Just a little disappointed that “Harem” does not VORP in some other “me’s” during sex, lol.
Only three Harems have been accounted for in the current situation. Whilst whatever Deus is up to has been left discreetly off-screen, so far. Leaving two free to teleport in.
Feel free to picture whatever arrangements may have been evoked in your mind.
:)
Mmmm dirty fantasy…. zzzZZzzzz
*nudge nudge*
Wake up, you are about to miss the good bits!

This page just made my day =D
Just a thought…couldn’t Harem, at any time, grow body #6…and maybe not mention it to anyone….
Yes.
And here is another thought, what if she already has more than five bodies and has never mentioned it to anyone?
GREAT meeting. ;)
Love blonde Daphne’s face here. Also, it seems to me that Dabbler is intoxicated. Sipping on Daphne? The way she’s talking is like drunk talk.
Mmm well both drinking alcohol and eating food releases endorphins in humans. So I imagine succubi get some similar evolutionary reward, in providing their body with its needs. Whilst ‘happy’ is not ‘drunk’ there can be an overlap in the responses to be seen from them.
But it would be interesting to see if succubi do get more of a drunk reward-response, than a simple pleasure response. Lowering of inhibitions would serve to improve their nutrition. So it makes evolutionary sense.
Informative. You have such a great amount of learning about this issue, thus much energy. You additionally know how to make individuals rally behind it, clearly from the reactions.
Oddly, I had something very similar waaaaay back in an online Champions game. Replica was not one brain with multiple bodies. She was either 4 sisters who could merge and separate their forms at will, or one girl with mulitplication powers and a severe case of MPDS.
No teleportation, but the shared brain space made communication over long distances easy.
This was back in 1996, I think.
Reading the comic for the first time, and every time I see the links for the vote incentive in the “author comments”, I click and it’s the one on the sidebar, not the one described/thumbnailed in the author comments. And I go to deviant art and no es bueno, it’s not there either! *huffing sigh like Sydney*
I feel like Tantalus! Is there anywhere these things are collected? Google did not help.
I need to be better about updating DeviantArt with old vote incentives. It’s a project for another weekend.
I’m making a Sydney trademarked ultrasonic “Squeee!” sound right now. Both because the author of one of my new favorite webcomics replied to one of my comments, and at the thought of more pictures of the lovely ladies of Grrlpower being made available for viewing!
