Grrl Power #582 – Intragation
Huh, I think something’s going on with Coot. What ever could it be?
I made an assumption that everyone would automatically recognize all the boots in the top panel. I mean, Max and Sydney should be pretty obvious, but just in case, I cheated a bit with the Who’s Who panel. If I’d had just a bit more time, I would have done little super deformed faces on each word bubble. I would be better to add those for the book version, which won’t have a Who’s Who on a fold out tab for every page. I probably should have done some incidental spatter on their boots too.
Happy Thanksgiving to those in the states. Lots of people won’t be up to their usual routines, and I briefly considered posting a stick figure filler page today because with the damage to my parents house from Harvey, we’re hosting Thanksgiving this year, so my drawing time is a little limited, but I… didn’t. Maybe if I had announced it on Monday’s comic but I didn’t think about it till too late. Besides, just because you’re not bored at work doesn’t mean you’re not bored at home, waiting for the big meal to be ready.
Double res version will be posted over at Patreon. $1 and up, but feel free to contribute as much as you like.
Just noted something, the ‘Blonde’ is missing a couple of tats….
This isn’t one of the Harem…
“some blonde” from the whos who, and she is missing her stocking tats in that between the legs shot of coot
Oh right, forgot about those, butt then again, wasn’t focused on her legs…
Heh,
funny you said butt and legs, butt is where legs begin
Yaarrrrr!!!! me favorite booty!!
I thought it was supposed to be pretty obvious that it’s Dabbler.
Well, if Dave is going back to touch up forgotten details on this page, let’s remind him he forgot Decollete’s glasses again too. ;)
… Sydney seems to be wearing someone’s jacket in the first panel- and Max wasn’t wearing one this trip.
If directly following through the portal is out, having Max toss a “tank evaporator” down the hole followed immediately by Sydney sealing it using a shield /fly ball combination would give them a search point for the other end- the whole planet has seen the firepower video by now(of course,if it’s just a deep hole this tactic risks breaching the vault floor …)
No, that’s her jacket
You seriously expect them to toss a mini-nuke through a portal, with no idea where it leads or what (or whom) may be on the other side? o_O
… Yes- can’t follow, can’t scry, got to close it-works for me …
…to a closet in the Scraps of Hope Orphanage and Bunny Rehab center….shame on you!
This looks like a job for the lightbee!
It would be really amazing if Sydney can teleport other peple if theyre holding onto her when she uses the lightbee’s teleport function. Plus Maxina would be surprised :)

How much fallout (publically and literally) do you believe that stunt would result in if Sci-fright had routed the portal through a secondary location? One that happened to be in the middle of a major city? Or simply in another country?
For those who can’t figure it out: Maxi would have just detonated a mini-nuke either in the middle of Manhattan, or on foreign soil, either way, ARCHON is finished permanently and the US is now at war
… I repeat, can’t scry- mana void traps. The heroes themselves say it would be suicidal to blindly follow, and the portal must be closed physically. You really think that Max can’t vary the yield of her blasts? Remember that as far as the heroes know Sciona walked off with a bunch of doomsday weapons, +Max would definitely balk at feeding Cooter thru the portal on a line…
At war? with who-Sciona +Co.? That’s a given. Guesticus, I want to read your solutions to this situation (l’ll enjoy whatever DaveB comes up with )…
Like said: we don’t know where the Portal started from, or if was direct, personally would have used two-connected portals, with the second one that actually went to the Depository in a different location (different country if possible), and when making an escape, keep the portal to-from the Depository open but close the one leading to original starting point, sort of like a hacker breaking into a computer: only the stupid use a direct approach
And if it was via a secondary portal in another country, Maxi tossing in one of “tank evaporators” could be viewed as an act of war (what? only the US can declare war after someone detonates a bomb on their soil?)
How do we know they can’t scry? They have only just found it
… you really think Sciona wouldn’t place a mana void trap on the portal as a bare minimum?…
Probably, but the solution is not to send a mini-nuke through without knowing where it leads
what you could do is send a container of lead thru, then you would be able to plumb the depths
… I was wrong – Max is/was wearing a jacket,and probably mantled it over Sydney …
No, if you look at the last page, Sydney is wearing the same jacket, Maxi is wearing a shorter jacket of a different design
One of the many interesting things about this…
…whoever (probably Wyrmil) is playing voice in Coot’s head can apparently resist succubus charms. Unless it can’t perceive anything other than what Coot is saying.
So how come Sydney hasn’t used her magic detective vision yet? I feel like she should have used that a while ago. Could have easily helped find the portal. Actually it could have shown Sciona hiding in the warehouse, pages back.
Wyrmil is spooky good at surviving and yet a good friend to have, providing he’s not also friends with people like Sciona.
Dunno, he sounds like one of these worms that gnaw at your brain stem to make you crawl up a tall building to wait for something to eat you.
Or at least a tapeworm.
I’m betting more along the lines of “The Strain”… right NOW, Wyrmil’s at the “easily hide-able in the victims body as a smallish worm” stage. but before Sciona slammed his face into the death field, he was more like the nazi guy; Eichhorst before he puts on his “make up” in the mornings. and as more and more time goes on, Cooter ‘s personality will shift more and more towards Wyrmil’s, as he converts more and more of Cooter into Wyrmil…
Here’s a good plan.
Sydney sends a lightbee through the portal, so she can see what’s happening on the other end. She should also hold onto the shield orb and, if it seems safe, she can do a teleport there.
Bonus points if it’s discovered that she can teleport other people WITH her.
Yeah, but then the tiny inner ball of the Lightbee will get super, -super- grody.
My inner voice is really stroppy.
[what the f**ck, shut up dude!]
Like I care.
[they will think that you we are insane!]
And that is new?
