Vote incentive for September posted
Ever notice how girls with odd skin color tend to be kind of tall? Throw the comic a vote to see what I’m talking about. Max is 6’1″, Dabbler is 5’10”, and I have measurements for some of the girls but I had to make assumptions about a lot of the others.
I hadn’t planned on using this picture again, at least until it was totally finished, but I spent a lot of time on it and I don’t really have anything else ready at this point. I say totally finished because in my head it will have at least 5 girls of each hue (including the non-hued “chalky” ones at the one end and the “dusky” ones at the other. This is assuming I can think of 5 of each color. Blue seems to be the easiest. Yellow will be tougher, as will “dusky.” Red is curiously difficult as well. I’m constraining myself to characters people will have a chance to recognize, even if they’re kind of obscure, so “some red demon chick” doesn’t make the cut, nor does someone’s OC they’ve drawn three times and put on DA 7 years ago.
The final version may have a different background on it as I’m thinking of adding some lounge chairs or pillows for some of them to sit on. I’ll also post a bigger version of it and also probably make some prints to sell at cons and what not. Compare this one to the first version posted up at DeviantArt.

now, you would think that the two green speakers (or whatever you call them) would be infinitely obvious, but i actually didn’t see them, until after i noticed the symbol on her uniform…

Awesome, except for one flaw. Draenei are naturally taller than human, so that one is very short for her race (a normal female Draenei is as tall as a human male). Just trying to give you a size reference for them.
Hmm, in all the pictures I’ve seen of Monara, she’s dwarfed by her… companions. I assumed she was unusually short for her species.

Yeah, she is an OC, albeit a very popular one. Altho be warned, if you google her a little too hard you’ll find yourself in super-nsfw territory… There is a Monara in WoW tho, i think, but it’s some mini-boss banshee or something, not a seksy Draenei gal.

The ones I recognize are Monara the Draenei, from … illustrations, Zintiel from Flaky Pastry, Andrah from the Polymer City Chronicles, some Na’vi from Avatar, Modest Medusa from the same, She-Hulk, Brittany from Gold Digger, I think Starfire from Teen Titans, I recognize the Green Lantern motif but not the character, and… that’s it, I got nothing else.
Oh, and some weird purple succubus and a gold-skinned woman from some esoteric webcomic whose name I can’t remember.

I’ll admit to recognizing Professor Jelenko standing over next to Starfire there. Dave has some good taste in the rainbow ladies. Also, since nobody else has ID’d her, the Green Lantern is Arisia Rrab, Green Lantern for Space Sector 2815.
With just how MANY Green Lanterns there are/were it’s understandable to not remember all of them.
Eh… I would note that Arisia was one of the more common “guest star” Green Lanterns, as well as having been Hal Jordan’s girlfriend, but you do have a fair point regardless.

Without a mouth?”, or maybe just wondering what sort of fruity concoction Duck Dodgers is trying to poison her with :D), to Zintiel looking at her keg like “This will do to start of with!”, to Modest Medusa(?) with three of her hair-snakes sharing the drink while the fourth is looking up at either Demona or Dabbles :D
Thanks! One thing I’d love to have done differently if I had planned this all better would be more girls interacting with each other. Andrah arm wrestling She Hulk for instance. The thing limiting that is the fact that all of each girls layers are in their own folder cause I new I was going to have to slide them around and rearrange them as the picture grew. (That’s also why the file is like 600MB)
So you have them all individually like the thumbnail? That’s got some possibilities (the most obvious being that the crowd can grow easily).
And that David could post them individually for higher amusement :) Maybe as daily vote incentives for a while?

It was just a light search and I’m not a follower but it seems that those are exceptions. Lady Death have LOTS of outfits with different number of skulls in different places all over her body, but her usual aspect by far appears to be bare head, like the ones in my previous post.

You are right, according Wikipedia it was from “Eternity Comics”, then “Chaos Comics”, then “CrossGen”, and finally “Avatar Press”.
I recognize the one horned Red chick but I have no idea from where. Maybe just the previous version of this.

Uhm, I don’t have a cleavage as impressive as Maxima’s, but as a female who flips upside-down a lot allow me to say, for future reference: unless extremely tight and and made of very thick and hard fabric which is also elastic enough to fit (like something imitating denim but with elastane woven in it), in that position a shirt would have followed the breast, and in Max’s case, bunch up and rest right on the underboob, while the upper part would go over and rest around the clavicle.
I spent many seconds wondering over what didn’t make sense, and then it occured to me: the tightness on the shoulders makes it look like the fabric is straining towards her boobs, which conflicts with the fact that she’s upside down. Yes, they would peek out a bit in case of a very tight and thick tank top, but not so much as to strain the fabric in a direction opposite to gravity…
….but I understand all this is nearly pointless if not downright annoying nipticking, since the whole situation was a setup for the joke.
Though, TL;DR: if it rides up the abdomen, then it also goes over to the clavicle; if it stays in place and boobs peek out, chances are it won’t ride up the abdomen either. Just thought I’d give the help, as someone who has boobs. :)

I’m curious as to why you flip upside down a lot. I’m hoping it has something either to do with testing roller coasters or some sort of rope assisted ceiling dancing.
Given that Maxima’s skin is kind of slippery, her shirt should have piled up on the underside of her boobs, but I didn’t want to make the picture that gratuitous. I see what you mean about the disconnect between the shirt loose at her waist and also straining against her breasts. I really should have just drawn it tucked in which would resolve both issues.
I have trouble drawing slacks. I’m never sure how to get the crotch to look. I’ve spent 5 years drawing jeans and (tight) cargo pants, so the radial wrinkles are easy for me, but most slacks are much looser and it throws me off.

WHAT DAVEB do you watch Steven Universe? Because there’s also green, purple, orange/red, sorta dark purpleish magenta, blue, and white. And technically yellow but she’s pretty mysterious so far. (Basically, they’re all sorta tall and colorful.) I don’t know if it’s a one-character-per thing. They’re all SO TALL and it would be funny if you just had legs at the back :)

Yeah Blizzard is terrible when it comes to consistency in official artworks.
On most pictures, she is greyish-purple, though. So I’d go with that.
Mama Gkika from Girl Genius could fill in a hole in almost any part of the spectrum. She can change her skin color (either emotion based or at will, not yet explained) and is very distinctive.

Not sure if mentioned it last time, but you totally should have gone for Venus Bluegenes instead of Andrah (they do have a very similar appearance, but Venus is not as ‘buff’ and her Mohawk is red/orange)
