Valentine’s Day Sex Drive 2014
It’s that time again, when otherwise respectable webcomics post nudie art of their characters, also know as the Valentine’s Day Sex Drive. Well, some of them have nudie art all the time. In any case, assume all of these links are NSFW, probably at least till Monday as I don’t know their front page is full frontal or what.
I have a work safe version up at the usual vote incentive link, and since you guys are awesome and vote for the comic all the time even when I’ve been a bit slack in keeping the incentive updated I have both a SFW and the “eschewing all cameo” version in wallpaper size over at DeviantArt.

A thought that occurred to me: If nothing of the orbs, including the skill tree they projected, could be seen by the cameras at the press conference, I am thinking that the big sign for Event Horizon Comics Sydney made would not be seen either. So all that effort was wasted.

The energy tentacle is a entirely different form of Projection from the UI stuff. For example it can affect the rest the physical world (and like be interacted with by said world).

I am enjoying how among women that are made with “perfect” bodies due to having powers, Peggy is receiving a well deserved amount of affection from the readers. Reaffirms my faith in nerdy humanity.
Ahh but, not having any super-powers, Peggy just happens to be pretty. One of the things that helps her appeal she is not the stereotypical California beach-babe that might be expected of the genre.

The web on the elbow leads me to ask, is there a canonical story behind each tattoo?
There would be if I knew anything about tattoo culture. For instance I didn’t know the elbow web meant you’d killed someone in prison. I just thought it was common because the tattoo looks ok even if your arm is bent. She does have one on her back which has some significance, but I don’t know when it will show up in the comic.
I was passing thru and see this, do not know if it will be spotted but just in case…
Like I commented in the main comic: spiderweb tattoos seems to have many meanings, from “time in jail” to just fashion, and some are just myths.

The scar on the leg looks like a fasciotomy scar like I have on my lower leg from getting hit with a truck. That implies that the initial injury wasn’t all that bad but complications set it after the injury. If the fasciotomy didn’t work with my wreck I would have had a below the knee amputation, like Peggy but on the other leg. I’m still not sure I’m better off with the malfunctioning meat leg over the prosthetic.
While I did some research on prosthetics and such, I didn’t do quite that much. I’ll have to read up in case it comes up in the comic.
That is bad, I am sorry for you. I had close contact with physical therapy and rehabilitation along several years. Sometimes it is hard to know what could have been better.
IMO that scar seems to be too much irregular for a fasciotomy. It impress me like the result of tissue tearing. While it can match with a traumatic amputation (as in a crash) a one that big it is a lot more common on injuries from explosions (as from antipersonal mines).
Max does seem to be pushing it, but she looks to be safe even if she sent this bloke to the morgue. His hands look to be lethal weapons and while she looks to have very strong defenses, we need to see a lot better than we have before we can say she should assume she was safe. And while we have reason to doubt Hands is very it-bray, he did see his pal bounced around. The logical conclusion is that he thinks he can take such a licking and keep on ticking, and thus Max has justification for hitting him harder [and she didn’t use full power]. So she should walk from any court case.
I’m nerdy and all that, but wouldn’t Maxima not use language like “glass cannon”? Which is really a gamer-type reference? It originated from the gamer-world, so either Maxima is a closet nerd or some of the author is slipping through ;)
And what in the world does “hump the barrett” mean? I’ve been trying to google it and there really isn’t anything I can find. :/
Maxima has previously confessed to being a former nerd. To which Sydney told her “Say that with pride!”

To hump something is military jargon for carrying it. In this case, Maxima is instructing Harem to teleport with the gun to Peggy.
