I feel like I under deliver on cheesecake so when it came to do an Anvil pinup, it was either her doing the typical “I’m muscular and sexy” pose… or just some flat out cheesecake. I know most guys prefer a softer look to women, and when this is finished some of the lines on her will be less pronounced, but to me, fit > skinny.

Those are probably the most stable type of heels you can wear. Hell, I can run in shoes like that (and I have on more than one occasion). And besides, she is now at least five inches taller than she was before!
Personally, I prefer larger ladies, both in musculature and adipose content. (if possible, though not always, at the same time!) (grace jones in Conan was a childhood crush.) So yes please! That is quite tasty cheesecake.
For me you have “Fit” and you have “Lumpy”-where there’s just TOO much muscle. You’ve just about hit the right balance overall Dave.
I like muscular women, however, it seems like in real life the stronger they are the uglier they are. It seems rare to find a female bodybuilder that’s not a butter face.
I have met a few of the bodybuilder types over the years, but some have gone to such extremes. I seem to remember some of them having voices like mine and I sing bass. Once the larynx gains the extra length under the influence of testosterone, it never shrinks back. So once your voice drops onto the bass clef, it never goes back up into the treble clef. While their voices may never recover, I hope they haven’t messed up their ovaries too much.
Not that Anvil has that problem; she is just a big girl.

There was an issue of John Byrne’s “She Hulk” that revolved around a paparazzi in a helicopter getting shots of Jennifer sun-bathing nude in the Baxter Building’s rooftop gardens, and selling them to a sleazy magazine. Jennifer tried everything she could think of to get the publication stopped, but no go.
The very end of the story was in the office of the publisher of said sleazy mag as he got the first copies of the double or triple run of the special issue he’d ordered and paid extra for … and a phone call from the printer, saying he didn’t know what went wrong with the pics they’d been sent, but he’d colour-corrected all the shots where that girl looked like she was green…
I seem to remember that issue of Fantastic Four ending with Johnny Storm saying he got a copy of the colour-corrected magazine that he was going to “read” in his room with some green-tinted sunglasses. Jenny then started chasing him down the hall.
I hope to see this colored. I have always liked the way Anvil looks.

I think we start up really high (like top 3) every start of the month, and than slowly drop down to 6-7 near the end. Or atleast that’s my observation without really paying attention.
Though it might stay high abit longer now, with such an incentive XD
It varies a bit. The thing that makes the biggest predictable difference is the day of the week that the new month starts.
If it is on or close to a Monday, then Grrl Power gets a head start and now has the staying power to hold it longer versus the multi-update per week comics. Not to mention the ones that are also continually pushing their vote incentives.
Whereas if the month turns over too late in the week, then the reverse happens, and once the big players have their lead it is hard for a once-weekly update comic to swing the voting back. Hard, but not impossible. The fact that DaveB responds so much to us in the comments, in itself gives a lot of us incentive to pop in each day and vote. Not to mention that this is a fun community to chat with.

Having always been a fan of the more muscular renditions of She-Hulk (like in the graphic novel by John Byrne where she’s detained by SHIELD and brought to the Helicarrier (which crashes… is it just me or does that thing crash a _lot_?). It was the story where she ended up stuck as She-Hulk for a while due to radiation… Anyways, having always been a fan of that particular rendition of her I’ve gotta say Anvil hits all the right buttons in that image. The lady is a stunner! No mistaking that.
So now we start to get some scale, including an insecure Halo in the corner. So is that Harem, Max or someone else in the background? When the colours go in, we will know for sure.
Considering the “Boob-window” in the top. I’d say Harem. Max probably wears a one piece. Besides, Max can’t tan!
If you can convince Max to even go to the pool, she wears a wetsuit. Anything else and she’d blind you on a sunny day.

Ok call it nit picking but shouldn’t the straps on the chair deform a bit from the boob pressure? They are rather large and seem slightly flattened so that amount of force should deform them some. Yeah I know it’s a great pic and far beyond mere scribblers like me but that’s kinda why I’m not an artist like Dave B. I am far more exacting on myself than I am others.

Even at an indoor pool, I suspect she’d keep her puffies and privates modestly covered by at least a tank top and baggies. Maybe I don’t know Syd well enough yet, but whenever I try to picture her in one of those sling-shot thongs (alright), she’s always blushing furiously. No way.

Hehe, Fit over skinny also wins in my book. I rather see a girl with a little mass, muscle or fat, than bones sticking out everywhere. However, a lot of mass, muscle or fat, and the hot-o-meter drops again. Anvil here seems to be just right.

Speaking, what would that entail? Been looking for something can do from home, specially concerning computers (can’t really do much with them personally, but like them and spend many hours using one, and like helping others who are creative but need an extra pair of hands)
Well I’m mostly kidding, because most of the stuff I need extra time for are things that I kind of need to do myself. Make some new banners for ads? I need to draw them. Update the cast page? I need to write it or come up with new art. I have a short video I’d like to get done in the next month or two, just cutting together some short clips, but I need to pick the clips out. Gah. I don’t know, maybe someone could help with that once I describe it, especially if they’re handy with Adobe Premiere, possibly After Effect, or Sony Vegas.

I hate to say it dude, because I love your comic, but I haven’t been attracted to any of your characters so far- they’re just too muscley. Everybody looks like a bodybuilder. No swimmer’s builds or runners in the lot. I don’t expect you to change anything, obviously a lot of people really like that, but I thought you’d like a different opinion.
Just to repeat: I definitely love the comic, super funny and interesting plot, and the art just keeps getting better.
Fair enough. I know the way I draw women is a bit over-fit for most people’s tastes. I still need to tone it down for some of the characters, but Maxima and Anvil will always be on the fringes of the scale.

Oh, hah, my bad. Well, I’ve tried to put in a little variety there, but some of those characters haven’t been featured as much. Math is leaner. Still, being a superhero comic and most of the characters in it will have more muscle mass than the average manga character. Which isn’t saying much granted. :)
