I’m going to pop back and forth between good guys and bad guys in shorter sequences for a bit here, instead of going on 80 page benders. I’ll probably return to that once I hit a good stride with a storyline, but if you’re wanting to see what happens to Sydney after groin recombobulation, you won’t have to wait long.
I haven’t gone into much detail as to what Escorpia, now Sciona’s superpower is. We’ve only seen her use it on the girl at the ¡Arriba Mart! (I’m deciding retroactively that’s what it was called) and it basically turned her into Transcendence el Gato as far as an external observer could tell. But we’ll be seeing a bit more of her abilities in the near future.

Sciona’s body died on Alar Prime (or whatever their homeworld is caused) when she broke open a spirit battery; her spirit and all the spirits she released returned to Earth through her portal just before it closed. She possessed Escorpia after she was shot in the chest three times.

The simple answer is makeup.
Another possibility is that Sciona’s essence managed to engender some sort of regeneration of the original tissue in place of the obviously-not-human flesh. Or some sort of bloodmage ability achieved the same effect.
Unlike classical villians, she doesn’t appear to enjoy exerting her powers.
If anything, they’re an annoyance.

From what I remember, Sciona is both speciesist and a user of… basically anyone who isn’t her.
So her point of view, this is probably about the same as someone who doesn’t like dogs letting one lick her, because it keeps the dog friendly.
I remember reading a story about a sadist/masochist relationship (viewpoint sadist), and at one point the character suddenly gets bored because the sadist is the one whose arm is getting tired; the masochist just lies there and takes it.
No idea how accurate that is, but I imagine it comes up sometimes. Certainly if you’re e.g. getting paid to be a dominatrix a session with certain clients is likely to be a lot of work for the money.

From what I’ve seen, Sciona’s new power in Scorpia’s body is pretty similar to Bliss from Gen-13.

She is probably his personal assistant. How would you feel if you saw your boss getting totally whipped right in front of you? Especially if you percieved him as a source of power and influence.
If I remember correctly she is the sister of the woman Sciona bodysnatched, but as I’m too lazy to actually go back and check, that’s going off of my admittedly quite faulty memory.
Lol. I’m gonna say your memory is very faulty here. Sciona body snatched some woman in Mexico who had pissed off the cartels and was known as Scorpia or something. I don’t think they specifically said anything about her family status but there was definitely no introduction of a sister. And even if there is a sister out there somewhere, I feel that Sciona would have killed/and or body snatched her as well to tie up loose ends. And when I say she would have body snatched any hypothetical sisters, I mean she would have put one of those Alari souls in her.

I love that Sciona is back in the comic. Too damned good of an antagonist to be left on the back burner for so long. I’m kind of hoping that she occupied Escorpa’s body before she was fully deceased and Escorpa’s soul is still in there somewhere. Could make for some interesting head games.
Is no one going to mention how twisted and mangled that foot is? I mean, I’ve seen footwear do some nasty stuff to a foot, but that ankle is broken.

well, to be fair there are places where one can collect a couple of thousand souls and few would notice, fewer still would care. I suspect they are after something bigger.
This, plus Sciorpia is still in the rebuilding phase of her power base and would probably be shy of attracting excessive attention to her doings, even if she goes collecting souls from people that would not be missed so much. Last time, she was able to endure being in a male orc body for years, even if she didn’t like it. Even if she is specieist and vain, Scorpia’s body is likely much more acceptable to her standards (super, mental manipulation powers, female, attractive, good boobs) than that.
More importantly, as far as we know, she currently has no control of the blade. Deus has, and last time the story checked, he was busy by proxy in the not-so-fast process of recharging the blade by only using the souls of war criminals and the like. I guess that Sciona would not be so keen on attracting unnecessary attention to her operation yet by contacting Deus for a deal and going on a mass-murdering rampage by using the blade to turn herself and dozens of Alari back into their original (enhanced) bodies. This assuming he would agree to lend her the blade in the first place.
Not to mention that at this stage of her master plan, her plans are likely better served if herself and her Alari crew keep super/human bodies for infiltration purposes. Ofc, Deus being Deus, chances are he already guessed Sciorpia and the golem’s existence and activities to some extent simply by analyzing the news. But what he is going to do with such info is anyone’s guess.
Correction to my previous statement: Deus already met Sciona in Scorpia’s body and busy infiltrating the US government during the dungeon farming talks, recognized her, and apparently chose a ‘wait and see’ stance.
Dang it, I missed that that was Sciona/Scorpia (didn’t read the under comic commentary that literally told us it was her, and she wasn’t in the who’s who to the side), now I need to go back and reread the dungeon bits to see if I missed any under currents.
I thought the Deus thing was just him noting there were Alari infiltrating the government.
Situation was not 100% clear but imo it is heavily hinted that he ackowledged it was an Alari in a human body, it was Sciona, and she was busy infiltrating US government. His super-intelligence all but surely includes a version of Sherlock Scan, he has been intimately familiar with Sciona (and he already knew enough about her to fill a full entry in his record of sexual conquests), and he has spent a lot of time recently hanging out with Alari.

A little wonky perhaps, which is easily explained by the difficulty of drawing feet well. I also think it’s being viewed at a slight side angle, which might have an effect on perception.
It’s not as though the toes are pointing in vastly different directions. They’ve just been squeezed somewhat by her choice of footwear.
I had thought her ability was similar to Newter’s from Worm, but this looks to be a lot more potent. Then again, Newter’s fluids (sweat, blood, saliva, etc) were stated to be 100% safe (he once tried to kill somebody with an overdose but couldn’t) and completely non-addictive (chemically, anyway; humans can get psychologically addicted to just about anything), so maybe hers just lacks those safeguards.

Sciona tries hard to fulfil the supervillainess clichè list, but apparently being able to enjoy going Domme on minions is an exception. Or perhaps she is too much of a specieist to appreciate that kind of interaction with lowly human worms. Although we know that prejudice has limits, since she is able to work in a super body for prolonged periods and greatly enjoy getting intimate with a super sex god.
Some villians enjoy the obesience and for others it is just a side effet of Getting Things Done.
You may have a point, although we have seen Sciona getting enthused at the notion of the Alari (led by her) conquering Earth. Perhaps she is the kind of villain that enjoys the ideal and sheer act of conquest, but the actual responsibilities of ruling the conquered, not so much.

I’m not so sure this is DAVE’s fetish. He’s shown some of those, but I don’t think this one of them, just the CHARACTER’s one. Sciona would probably see it as less demeaning, and the various succubi would have done it at some point if it was something the artist was personally interested in to any great degree. That’s my impression at least.
