Yup, that’s Dabbler by Adam Warren of, among other things, Empowered and Dirty Pair. I commissioned this from him during A-kon in 1998, back before Emp was glimmer in an enthusiastic commissioneers eye, as the story goes. Adam had a legendary sketchbook, a collection of commissions from Japanese conventions, mostly of the Dirty Pair, and mostly in bondage. Apparently that was the genesis for a series of commissions that evolved into Emp. At least that’s how I heard it.

I’m working on my own piece of bonus art, but I didn’t have it ready since I’m extra rushed getting ready for overlapping conventions this weekend, so I’ll probably swap this out mid month. But since it’s Dabbler’s into in the comic right now I thought this was appropriate.
