So… yeah, I’m doing a webcomic. This may or may not work out as I have not traditionally been the most productive guy in the world, hopefully that will change once I get rolling on this thing. Unfortunately the best I can hope for at the moment is once a week, so I’ll at least try and stick with that.

You know, I’ve reread this a couple times and I finally realized why it looks familiar: Omnigal in the bottom right looks like she’s from Runaways. *nods to self* I love the comic, by the way. ^^
Been reading since the beginning and well I can’t stand most online comics yours has been exciting and interesting. I like the back drop humor and Halo particularly. I think if you want this to last it will. The readers are not going anywhere. (Note: love the side comic real on the characters.

Yes, excuse me, sir, but if that beam was in fact constructed of highly concentrated and agitated photons, they would have passed through your complex forcefield easily; it is, after all, transparent.
On the other hand, a simple hand mirror would have been adequate in deflecting the beam. Think of it this way: if you shine a laser pointer at your main defense and it shines through the field, you’re boned.
Corner mirrors can bounce a laser attack right back to the laser.
Grrr. I just got done re-reading, then hoped around looking at favorite lolz moments. Now I have the irresistible urge to re-read it again. My face still aches from the non stop grinning from the first re-read (literally non stop grinning, whether from the comedy, action, or sheer awesomeness). Curse you Dave, and your insanely addictive comic.
It’s a curse that can be passed on if you’re bitten under the new moon. And then read a lot of comics then spend like 10 years wanting to do a webcomic but never quite getting around to it and then one day you do.
Wow. I’ve got two out of three requirements already. (Now who can I get to bite me?) I’m not really much of an artist (though I’m great with coming up with characters and stories) so I’ve actually been trying to find an artist willing to help me make a comic. I hope I someday achieve some fraction of the greatness that is DaveB. Love the comic. Peace out.

You mean the bit with the lasers and transparent shields? I’m working on a way to de-error it.

I wouldn’t call it a continuity error as such, since these are PCs in a Superhero Tabletop RPG, not IRL. I would say that the GM of the game wasn’t able to talk to Dabbler about transparent FFs like Halo does later.

I still find it amusing that Omni-Gal has exaggerated ‘heroic’ proportions, i.e. two-thirds leg. She must look really goofy sitting down.

Figured I’d mention that in the HERO system, i.e. Champions, Zero Phase Soliloquy is a thing.
I have played more than one tabletop roleplaying game where ‘talking is a free action’. Especially when giving a dying speech or famous last words. No matter whether the cause was being disintegrated or dropped into a volcano, there is always time for at least one speech bubble in such a panel!
Talking is always a free action, untill the GM makes you pay for it …..
