Migrating the site – Comments locked
I’m about to hit go on the host migration for the site, and since I don’t want any comments being lost, I’m going to lock them during the migration. Hopefully no one is writing their magnum opus of comments right now, but if you are just copy it to a notepad for now. The migration should take 2-3 hours, then I have to update the domain and point it at the new hosting. Not sure how long that will take but I know updating the DNS worldwide can take 24 hours-ish. It’s a pain but the site’s been slow on and off for a while now and hopefully with the new hosting it will be Ludicrous Speed 24/7.

For firefox, I would recommend textarea cache, otherwise it may be too late when you find out the comments are closed.
